Bantwal: Fraud accused absconding for 15 years arrested

Bantwal, Oct 7: Vittal police have arrested a man who had been absconding for around 15 years after failing to appear before the court in a fraud case involving two people who were allegedly cheated on the promise of securing them bank jobs.

The arrested accused has been identified as Hibbathullah (52), a resident of Balnadu.

A case was registered at Vittal police station in 2011 against Hibbathullah for allegedly taking money from two people after promising to secure them jobs in a bank. He allegedly failed to get them jobs and also did not return the money.

As part of the operation, Vittal police took Hibbathullah into custody on October 5 and produced him before the court. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
