Mumbai, Oct 8: American-Indian singer and actress Shannon K, daughter of veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu, is reportedly among the names being considered for a wildcard entry into Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 20.

However, neither Shannon nor the show's makers have officially confirmed her participation. A source close to the singer told India TV that discussions regarding her possible entry are underway, but there is no confirmation yet.

Born Sana Kumar Sanu, Shannon was born in India and raised in London before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music and acting. Although she comes from a family with a strong Bollywood music background, she has primarily built her career in Western pop while incorporating Indian influences into her music.

Her songs include A Long Time, Give Me Your Hand, Run, Antidote, OTT, 9-5 and Not My Shade. She began her professional music career with A Long Time in 2018 and has since explored themes such as bullying, confidence, relationships and self-worth.

Her song Give Me Your Hand was associated with an anti-bullying campaign and was released through Billboard in the US. She has also performed at international venues, including London's Royal Albert Hall.

In 2025, Shannon performed at Coachella, marking another significant international appearance in her music career.

Her latest single, Not My Shade, was released in August 2026 and explores themes of cheating, infidelity and heartbreak.

Shannon frequently shares posts about her father Kumar Sanu on social media. In a Father's Day post, she credited his journey and struggles for teaching her the importance of hard work and becoming a good human being alongside being a successful artist.
