Mr.Ashraf...some athletes run bare foot in Olympics..Example..Zola Bud gold medalist who ran bare foot. But here situation may be different.Because of financial problem our poor runners can't afford to have well equipped sports kit.But spirit doesn't prevent them from running. Big salute to winners and all participants.

He not only gives free education for the Sporting stduents but also takes care of them very well. He has built Moodabidri and Mijar from brick to brick and brought this tiny town on the world map for Quality of Education, Excellence in Sports and World clas Entertainment through "Alvas Virasat". Congratulations to Sandeep and Vijayamala on winning the half Marathon. Also kudos to all the participants. The pictures by Hemanath Padubidri were superb. I can imagine how some of the runners could run with their full pants and some without shoes or sneakers.

Its nice to see such events but really sad to see some participants (girls) running on bare foot on tar road. Organisors would have arranged shoes for these participants.
