British Teachers Admit Manipulating Results

London, Apr 2 (IANS): A polls has found stressed British teachers feeling forced to manipulate exam results to maintain pupil pass percentage.

Many feel their professionalism is at stake as they struggle with increasing demands for better grades from watchdog body Ofsted, parents and politicians, the Daily Express reported.

According to the survey by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers almost three quarters of them feel under pressure to get pupils through exams, with 63 percent saying they endure more stress than they used to 10 years ago.

More after-school classes, one-to-one lessons and extra practice tests are in place as a result of it to maintain top results and compete with league table expectations.
