UAE : Weekend Mayhem on Dubai's Roads Kills One, Injures Several

Dubai, Apr 2 (Emirates 24 x 7): One person was killed and several injured in four separate traffic-related accidents over this weekend.

According to Major-General Mohamed Saif Al Zafeen, Director, General Directorate of Traffic in Dubai, on Saturday evening an Egyptian motorcyclist was killed at the exit on Sheikh Zayed Road leading towards Dubai Mall, while a collision between two vehicles on Rabat street that evening resulted in three injuries.

On Friday morning a Mitsubishi Pajero heading towards Jebel Ali Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road rammed into a heavy vehicle parked by the side. The driver, however, escaped with injuries.

The same afternoon reckless driving led to a pile-up of six vehicles including a mini bus that collided with one another because of excessive speed where five motorists were injured.
