Mumbai, Oct 10: Actor Sharad Kelkar received a heartwarming birthday surprise from his daughter, Kesha Kelkar, as he turned a year older on October 7.

Kesha dedicated a special track titled ‘My Favorite Guy’ to her father on his birthday. Adding to the emotional touch, the young one also lent her voice to the song.

Sharad took to his official social media handle to share the poster of ‘My Favorite Guy’. The poster features the father-daughter duo sharing a warm embrace, with Sharad planting a kiss on Kesha's forehead.

Expressing his gratitude for the thoughtful gesture, Sharad wrote on Instagram, “The best ever gift ?? love you kesha ???? (sic).”

On the professional front, Sharad will next be seen in the upcoming rural horror film ‘Kaali Kheti’, which also features veteran actor Jackie Shroff and Neha Sargam in significant roles, among others.

The makers recently announced that the film will hit theatres on October 23 this year.

Written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan and produced by Sana Khan under the banner of BlackCanvas Studio, ‘Kaali Kheti’ is set against a rural backdrop. The film explores a world where family, legacy and buried truths come together to create an unsettling tale of fear.

Speaking about the project, director Haris Imtiyaz Khan said, “For me ‘Kaali Kheti’ is about examining agriculture through the lens of horror. Something I hadn't seen before. Something that felt fresh, exciting and also deeply disturbing. The film is mirror to society, only the reflection exists in a scary and fantastical world.”

“Sometimes this world doesn't make sense but always feels strangely familiar. Perhaps that is the true horror,” he added.
