Bangalore Jeweller's Murder - Police Nab Three in Tirupati

Bangalore, Apr 2: The alleged killers of Nitish Bera, a Kolkata-based jeweller who was kidnapped and later found murdered near Dobbespet, were reportedly arrested by Bangalore police in Tirupati on late Sunday, April 1 night .

On March 27, Avenue road jeweller 36-year-old Nitish Bera who owned a shop, BRN Jewellers, was kidnapped after surrendering gold from his shop as well as from his house. His body was later found near Dobbespet.

According to police sources, the kidnappers killed him fearing that Bera would reveal their identity to the police. It is almost sure that he was kidnapped for gold and diamonds.

The three alleged kidnappers fled to Tirupati and were staying iny a lodge.

Police have reportedly recovered one kg of gold from them.

Police could not reveal more details as investigation is still going on. They are also looking at the possibility of more people being involved.

The kidnappers took Bera in a car, and throwing chilly powder to his eyes strangled him to death, said police sources.

    Mr.C.K...I agree with you.Encounter is not possible.People keep silent and appreciate encounter specialist but same people will start attacking him for encounter after sometime.This is what Mr.Bidari faced in his life.He was treated as semi god when he demolished Veerappan gang from 150 to 20. Now see what happened to him.Our law is very weak. Thats why crime rate is very high.Recently we have witnessed lawayers attacking media persons and police with chair,rod and stones in Bangalore court.Can we expect anything positive from the present system..
