New Delhi, Oct 12: Air India is offering students a flat 10 per cent discount on eligible domestic base fares for bookings made until October 20, 2026, allowing them to save on air travel during the holiday season, college commutes, internships and campus placements.
The limited-period offer applies to eligible one-way and round-trip bookings and is available through Air India's official website and mobile application. Students must select the student concession option while searching for flights to access the eligible fares. The offer is subject to the airline's applicable fare conditions and terms.
The special discount is part of Air India's year-round student programme, which provides additional travel benefits on eligible domestic and international bookings.
Under the regular student programme, eligible travellers can avail themselves of discounts of up to 10 per cent on domestic and international fares. The programme also offers an additional baggage allowance of 10 kg and one complimentary date change on eligible bookings.
In addition, customers logged into their Air India accounts can avail themselves of a 50 per cent reduction in convenience fees, subject to applicable conditions.
Students may also be eligible for further savings when paying through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Eligible domestic bookings made through the airline's website or mobile application using the promo code UPIPROMO can qualify for an additional discount of up to Rs 1,000 per passenger.
The UPI discount is subject to separate eligibility criteria and terms. Passengers are advised to check whether the offer applies to their selected flight and payment before completing the transaction.
How to avail of the offer
To access the student discount, passengers must visit Air India's official website or open its mobile application and enter their departure city, destination and travel dates. They must then select 'Student' from the 'Concession Type' dropdown menu to view eligible fares.
Students should check the applicable fare conditions, baggage allowance and other booking terms before proceeding with payment. The limited-period domestic discount is available for eligible bookings made on or before October 20, 2026.
The 10 per cent discount applies to the eligible base fare and not necessarily the entire ticket price. Taxes, convenience fees and other applicable charges may still be payable, meaning the final savings will depend on the selected fare and booking conditions.
Students planning to travel during the holiday season or for academic and career-related commitments should complete their bookings before the offer expires and verify the applicable terms through Air India's official booking channels.
