Mumbai, Oct 17: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian men’s squads for the upcoming ODI and Test series against New Zealand, with Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer set to share captaincy duties during the five-match ODI series.

The ODI series will begin in Auckland on November 4, with the final two matches scheduled to be played in Mount Maunganui on November 13 and 15.

Gill will captain India in the first three ODIs before leaving to prepare for the Test series. Iyer, who has been appointed vice-captain for the opening three matches, will take over the leadership for the final two ODIs.

Veteran batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been included in both ODI squads. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the ODI series but named in the Test squad, while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been left out of the ODI teams.

Anshul Kamboj has been selected for the first three ODIs, while wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra will join the squad for the final two matches. Prasidh Krishna’s inclusion in the opening three ODIs is subject to fitness clearance.

Gill will also lead India in the Test series, with KL Rahul appointed vice-captain.
