Bangalore: Governor Bhardwaj Wants Luxurious Audi to Travel in Kerala!

Bangalore: Governor Bhardwaj Wants Luxurious Audi to Travel in Kerala!

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Apr 4: Karnataka governor H R Bhardwaj, who is also the governor in-charge of Kerala has reportedly demanded a 67-lac sleek Audi Q7 for his travel in Kerala.

The demand, sent by the Raj Bhavan to Kerala government, is awaiting cabinet approval, and is most likely to be passed.

Bharadwaj has come in for flak from various quarters for putting forward this request. What surprises many is the fact that the governor already has a fleet of seven cars, including two Mercedes Benz, at his disposal, and has still asked for a new car.

The Audi, if given the nod, will be the eighth in the line, and sources said that he has asked it to be fully equipped with the latest accessories, which will shoot up its price to Rs 80 lac.

The irony is that though he demanded an Audi, Kerala is a state he has hardly visited ever since he took up its charge after the death of its governor M Farook. The luxury car will be used only for a few hours when he visits, a fact which has raised eyebrows among many whether such luxury should be allowed at the expense of the tax payer's money.

A petition has been filed by a group urging for refusal to Bhardwaj's demand. In the petition, they have accused the governor of misusing his power and office and wasting the tax payer's money.

Last year, Rs 45 lac was spent to get a Mercedes Benz, apart from the other line of cars that wait for him.

with such a callous attitude towards public welfare and overflowing zeal for self-aggrandizement, this man is a blatant example of disregard for welfare of the people. With such an attitude to life, this man should be relieved from his post, and he would do a great service to the society if he spends the rest of his time with his grandchildren and prayers for a better 'Audie' in the next world.

No man is pure & 100% perfect. That is the reason why there are written rules, laws & regulations. Why on earth there is a provision for Governor to ask different cars!!! The law is designed to do such things. Our whole constitutional & justice system is full pf such loop holes which has resulted in corruptions/power abuse etc. There should have been a rule fixing a type of car for Governor. fullstop, he cannot ask for more.

He is a sincere man unlike the others -
Yeddy etc. I donot see your point in calling Bhardwaj currupt for requesting a car of his choice from Kerala Govt. Is it stealing/or buying it without the knowledge of the concerned govt. using govt money. Yeddy has ransacked Karnataka Govt. illegally and u say he is real gentleman - never currupt - I think you have to check your head if anything is inside there - can u pls do that for me before u comment again here on some other subject - pls pls pleeeaase - manipal hospital is so near for u to have a check up - Kerala Govt. will look into his request - may be for or against - u blame the Kerala Govt. if they consider his request - not Bhardwaj
