Mangalore, Apr 6:
Legendary singer Mohammed Rafi, whose voice has inspired generations and still continues to do so, has yet another young singer going in his footsteps and paying him a rich tribute.

Farhana, a budding singer from Koda Village in Hirekerur of Haveri district, has brought out a collection of Mohammed Rafi's songs sung by her. The video album was released Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor at a press meet here on Friday April 6.

Addressing reporters, Punaroor said that it is the duty of every person to provide opportunities to rising talents. He wished that her music album draws support from all corners.

Litterateur Mohammed Badoor said that when he heard Farhana singing Mohammed Rafi’s songs at a programme where he was among the jury, he was impressed and motivated her to sing more songs of the legend and also made arrangements to bring out the album.

While Mohammed Rafi was one of his kind, he has inspired millions of singers to imitate him. It is good to note that Farhana has been inspired by him as well. All the best to you Farhana.

Congratulations to Farhana. A new attempt to sing Rafi Saab's songs in the female voice. I listened to few of your songs online, they sound good but Farhana, you need to improve your Urdu dialect and pronunciation. Otherwise, your voice is catchy. Good luck.
