Man Kills Four in Hungary Sword Attack

Budapest, Apr 7 (IANS): A 24-year-old man in Hungary killed four people with a sword and injured three others after a family argument, CNN reported.

The killer in Kulcs town, south of the capital Budapest, used "weapons that were able to stab and cut, and the crime was brutal", Laszlo Garamvolgyi of the Hungarian police was quoted as saying by state-owned news agency MTI.

The police official said a family argument led to the attack.

Police said 135 officers were involved in an operation to capture the man, alongside members of the counter-terror unit.

Janos Hajdu, director of the terror unit, said the suspect was carrying "sharp weapons" but did not resist arrest, according to state-run Hungarian TV.

The man was found by a police dog while he was hiding behind a bush near the home where the attack happened. The suspect, thought to have suffered injuries in the attack, was taken to a hospital.

The mayor of Kulcs said locals described the family as normal and hard-working.
