Doha, Apr 8: As much as Advanced Technical Services (ATS) has become familiar in the tiny oil-rich State of Qatar, its annual day too has become popular among the employees. In the last few years, ATS led by the dynamic and illustrious Ravi Shetty has climbed the ladder of success and has carved a niche for itself. While the dynamic leadership of Ravi Shetty has been instrumental in the phenomenal growth of the ATS, the contribution of its employees too has been immense. ATS also has a unique way of thanking them. The ATS annual day not only provides a platform for the employees to showcase their talents, but also serves as a medium to award the outstanding employees and reward those who have excelled throughout the year.

This glorious tradition of ATS stepped into another year with the celebration of the fifth Annual Day which was held on Friday April 6 evening.

The much-expected evening began with the opening remarks and introduction of the master of ceremony Preetham by Preethesh Amin. The programme then had the formal inauguration with the lighting of the lamp by Jyothi Ravi Shetty, Chandrakala Shetty, Nirmala Subramanian, Shrinidhi Vijay Rai, Aruna Manoj Shetty, Bincy Antony and Poojitha S Hegde. Renowned singer from Mangalore Ravindra Prabhu who was flown in especially for the programme provided the perfect start with his rendition of the prayer song, along with Reshma.

Once the prayer was over, the stage was thrown open to Ravindra Prabhu and his troupe who enthralled the audience with some of the popular and peppy songs. The selection of some of the golden hits from the Bollywood by Mohd Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar along with the present day raunchy numbers had the audience asking for more. As the troupe led by popular Ravindra Prabhu belted a few new super-duper Kannada, Tulu, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam hits, the audience went berserk with applause.

Vismay Vinayak who is a household name in and around Mangalore for his breathtaking magic show and mimicry too was flown in specially for the evening. His super skills as magician and perfect mimicry timing were a treat to watch as the audience was awestruck with his brilliance.

ATS staff who had the unique opportunity of sharing the stage with the employers then came up with a beautiful welcome skit showcasing the cultures of Karnataka, Nepal, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarath and Tulunadu.
