Ajman: Gulf Medical University Receives Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs

Ajman, Apr 9: His Excellency Vayalar Ravi, minister for overseas Indian affairs, government of India visited Gulf Medical University (GMU), here at the personal invitation of Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group, UAE. The visiting dignitary was accorded a warm welcome by the founder president and the academic team of GMU.

The visiting dignitary and his team were taken for a tour to various medical facilities, departments and advanced laboratories the University uses to impart quality medical education to the students.

He also visited the newly inaugurated learning and information centre which houses multimedia laboratories, learning and discussion rooms and the graduate study Centre. He was highly impressed that the GMU had an international faculty, modern and advanced facilities and the exceptional teaching arrangements to offer to all its students and felt extremely satisfied with the professional educational structure.

Vayalar Ravi praised Thumbay Moideen for his dedication and the exemplary services he has been doing in the field of medical education, healthcare and research. He also praised the president for the far sighted vision and the commitment to develop & portray Thumbay Group as a global leader.

He assured to extend maximum support to GMU from the Government of India in the matters of education.

Later, Moideen arranged an audience between the visiting dignitary and His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council, UAE and Ruler of Ajman where important matters of cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
