Ajman: GMU, GMC Hospital to host Global Day 2012 – Annual Cultural Festival

Ajman, Apr 9: Gulf Medical University, a leading University in Research and Teaching and GMC Hospital, here,  together will host Global Day 2012 - Annual Ethnic and Cultural Festival at GMU campus on the April 13 from 4.30 pm onwards. 'Unity in diversity' will be the main theme of the grand cultural extravaganza.

More than 20 country stalls/pavilions and a student cohort from 60 nationalities, faculty, staff members will take part in the mega event. This mega event will serve as a platform for students to showcase the essence of their respective cultures through a series of entertainment of songs, dance performances. Various competitions will be held in solo and group singing, cultural dress, talent and fashion shows in addition to the stalls that will feature various food items and cultural artifacts. Visitors will be able to sample a wide variety of traditional food in the Food Fair.

The Global Day 2012 – Annual Ethnic and Cultural Festival will be inaugurated by the chief guest of honour H H Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, Ajman.
