Jaipur, Apr 14 (IANS): A man was arrested along with his four accomplices in Rajasthan Friday on charges of shooting dead his daughter and her boyfriend after they were spotted in a compromising position, police said.

The bodies of Sharda, 20, and Nag Kumar, 23, were found April 1 near Ucchen village of Bharatpur district, some 200 km from here.

"Both had been shot in the back. We also recovered a gun from the spot," a police officer told IANS.

Police Friday arrested Sharda's father Ganesh Kumar, her two brothers and two others.

Police said that the family members of the girl already knew about the friendship between her and Nag Kumar and were opposed to it.

"Ganesh Kumar and his sons had seen Sharda and Nag Kumar in a compromising position a day before the murder. Angered over this, they decided to kill the couple," said the officer.

The accused spotted the two in a deserted place outside the village April 1 and killed them.
