Bahrain, Apr 15: Lent is over, the darkness has gone away and the bright light has come over the whole world; with these words the two evergreen and energetic masters of ceremonies Ivan and Alfreeda began the evening of Bellevison Bahrain’s Easter Celebration followed by welcome dance.
The newly formed committee for the year 2012 – 2013 was installed by mentor John D'Souza, with a brief introduction of the members. Enthusiastic president Kishore in his presidential speech gave a call to all members to utilize the opportunity and the platform to sharpen their talents. He put forth the aims and the vision of the association and thanked everyone for the support in the past and to the new committee.
Fr Vincent D'Souza, former priest of Bahrain Sacred Heart Church who is on a visit to Bahrain gave away the mementos to the preceding committee for their outstanding performance and accomplishments.
The evening was lined up with a variety of entertainment programs one after the other keeping the audience amused. Little budding stars danced to the tune of 'Maria Pitashe', while the senior children performed for 'Ya Ya Mayaya' and the teens Hazel and Rishell gave a wonderful performance with Hindi fusion songs. There were comedy skits performed by the members, which were a great laugh buster. Children and adults were kept busy with amazing games conducted by the sports secretary Steevan Lobo. The floor was open for dance at regular intervals with live singing from the members and DJ by Sharun.
Bellevision Bahrain aims to give a chance to those who have hidden talents and enc age them to come forward. The talented members are always ready at all times to support and guide those who wish to make use of the platform provided. The association's vision is to provide a mutually supportive family environment where every individual member has the opportunity of self development.
General secretary Pramila Martis thanked each and everyone for their involvement and dedication. Bellevision Bahrain remains grateful to all the regular sponsors.
Scrumptious dinner was savored by all. The celebration left behind a question pondering in the minds of all gathered – when will the next get-together of Bellevision Bahrain be? The eagerness and happy smiling faces of the members is all that which gives the association more energy to achieve its purpose – strive for togetherness.
