Mangalore, Apr 16: "The state is reeling under severe drought but the state government is busy in resolving its internal clashes. The government has failed in all respects, and hence chief minister Sadananda Gowda should resign as he has lost the confidence of the people and doesn't have the strength to run the government," said KPCC president Dr Parameshwar.

He was speaking to reporters during his visit to Shri Chandrashekar Swamiji Ashram at Mulky near here on Monday April 16 to participate in Mahavishnu Yaga.

He further said, "It is a shame that the state government has not done enough to tackle the drought situation. The centre has sent three teams to assess the situation and they will finish their work by April 21. Also, a report will be submitted to the centre and to Congress national president Sonia Gandhi who will visit Tumkur on April 28."

On the tussle between PU lecturers and the state governent, he said ultimately it is the students who will be affected and hence the government should take immediate steps to arrive at a solution.

Taking digs at BJP he said, "BJP came to power by claiming to be a party with principles, but the extent of problems it created for the people of the state was proved in the recent Udupi-Chikmagalur bypoll. In the coming Vidhana Sabha elections too, the people will teach them a lesson."

'Spirituality needs to built on Principled Stand'

“People from different parts of the world, as we see, express their religious sentiments through multifarious forms of observations and practices, which bring out the deep-rooted faith and devotion they have towards the Almighty. The practices and principles that are part of Indian culture have unique meanings. Devotion has got impetus because of the virtue of principles and principled stand we find in our spirituality,” said Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt, Udupi. He hailed Chandrashekhara Swamiji for getting involved with spiritual guidance and social service in a big way.

He was delivering benedictory address at the religious meeting organized at the Ashram of Chandrashekhara Swamiji at Mulky on Monday April 16, as part of the Maha Vishnu Yaga organized there.

The Yaga was solemnized by over 50 scholars who arrived here from Vidyapeetha based at Bangalore, with the aim of achieving world peace and welfare of Karnataka state, said Chandrashekhara Swamiji on the occasion.

Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar from Mysore presided over the meeting. On this occasion, well-known astrologer, Kilapady Govinda Bhat and his wife, Sharadamma, parents of Chandrashekhara Swamiji, were honoured on the occasion of golden jubilee year of their marriage.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, G Parameshwar, recounted the contributions made by Chandrashekhara Swamiji towards welfare of the society. He said Chandrashekhara Swamiji stands out as an excellent example for devotion and reverence one should have towards their parents at a time when people abandon their parents during their old age.

Chandrashekhara Swamiji, Karnataka assembly deputy speaker, N Yogish Bhat, journalist, Vishweshwar Bhat, president of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Tara, Sandalwood star, Ravichandran, Rockline Venkatesh, B C Patil, father of Aishwarya Rai, Krishnaraj Rai, musician, Kalyan, former minister, Amarnath Shetty, MLA, Raghupati Bhat, Rajani Chandrashekhar, and several other dignitaries were present.

On this occasion, a programme of saxophone recital  by Kadri Gopalnath, and musical programme by Ravindra Prabhu and troupe, were organized.

These Politicians do not know where to talk what? Arrived here in Mulky for religious function but started talking politics. It is true that Central Government sent three teams to study and prepare drought report but in fact they were the Congress Party representatives might have come here to solve the Internal Karnataka Congress problem, like I believe One Team met Siddu, another Team met Parameshwara and third one may be met Governor

CONGRESS PEOPLES ARE GOOD IN BLAMING ONLY. THEY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING. THEY ARE GOOD IN OPPOSITION PARTY ONLY.

PARAMESHWAR SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON HIS PLACE NOW. OTHERWISE ITALY LADY WILL THINK FOR SOME OTHER CANDIDATE.

DVS WILL REMAIN AS A CM AT THE END. NEXT ELECTION ALSO HE WILL LEAD GOVERNMENT. JAI HO JAI BJP.

Wow..Chandra Shekar Swamyji of Mulki,is an icon of India and aboard!Whole Karnataka, from Politics to industrialist, media to film Industry are behind him! His rising to the top of ladder in India and abroad is a miracle I must say.He is the top VASTU THAJNYA around Karnataka/India plus.Still he is an good human and we shall appreciative and proud of him.

Coming to the issue,Karnataka govt is in ICU and also in ventilator."Doctor" Yeddy keeping this Govt alive for time being by providing necessary support services.DVS,CM of Karnataka might good man but politics is politics!Only Congress Govt able to rule Karnataka for full five years uninterrupted with single CM more than one occasions.

Past four years there were severe floods and droughts which brought Karnataka little backward..During Yeddy's time (flooding time)Reddys hijacked the Govt undermining flood situation in North Karnataka! This time(drought)around Yeddy forced to hijack Karnataka govt to resorts and Birthday bashes around Karnataka undermining severe drought situations. What we gather from the day to day development in Karnataka politics, especially in BJP party, the admin and development are the causality.People taught lessons in Bellary and by latest in Udupi for BJP party but it seems futile. The tug of war for CM chair is daily talk of the people and media which hinders concentration on admin naturally.

CEC's report to SC regarding Yeddy's role in kickbacks from mining companies to his trusts may have severe repercussions in BJP's politics either way.BJP did get beat day by day in Karnataka and it's followers and workers are under confusion to which camp of BJP to support ! Presumed as HEBBAGILU TO CAPTURE SOUTH INDIA,Karnataka's debut BJP govt showed people of Karnataka otherwise.BJP's inexperience, incompetent and coupled with leadership crisis of Delhi made things worse in Karnataka.Damage have been done whether DVS stay or Yeddy reoccupy the CM post, but BJP of is the causality for sure.

Mr Parameshwar should remember that that he was attending a religious function and not congress platform , before making any statement against DV.However , being a responsible citizen of Karnataka, one should not try to topple the Govt. in such a situation of draught which may lead the state into"no Govt - no relief actions "as everyone knows that forming a new Govt is not easy in the present scenario!!
