Sharjah: Kemaru Swamiji, Bishop Henry to Grace Maryura Award Ceremony

Sharjah, Apr 22: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah (KSS), one of premier Kannada Association working under the auspices of the Indian Association Sharjah, and which came into existence in the year 2002, will be celebrating its 10th year with grand event to be held on May 18 at Hotel Holiday International, Ball Room, Al Buhaira Corniche, Sharjah.
 
The day-long programme will begin at around 10 am and the show will go on till 5 pm, with fun-filled variety entertainment in Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Kodava and Beary, the five spoken languages of Karnataka. The entertainment package will be presented by various creative artistes from different community organisations of Karnataka in the UAE. There will be folk dances, folk singing, mimicry, comedy, literature, skits etc. throughout the day.


 
The added attraction will be the presentation of 'Mayura Award' to Kannadigas in the UAE who have excelled in the field of either art, literature, education, sports, social service etc. The name will be revealed once finalised.
 
Shri Shri Shri Esha Vittaladasa Swamiji of Sandipani Sadhana Ashram, Shree Kshetra, Kemaru, Bishop Henry D'Souza of Bellary diocese, Karnataka and Prof Abubaker Thumbe, scholar, Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah will the chief guests.
 
KSS president Satish Poojary along with the committee members has invited all Kannadigas in the UAE to attend in large numbers along with their friends and family to make the decinnial celebration a grand success.
