Bellary: Yeddyurappa Loyalists Threatened Me, Claims Hiremath

Bellary, Apr 24 (PTI): The convenor of an NGO today claimed that he was threatened by two loyalists of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa recently and asked to withdraw his petition filed in the Supreme Court on illegal mining.

Hiremath, convener of the Dharwad-based Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya, told PTI that over three weeks ago, "two prominent persons from Yeddyurappa camp" called him and asked him to meet the former chief minister, besides withdrawing his petition against their leader.

He said he was ready to meet Yeddyurappa, provided the former chief minister accepted his three conditions including returning of "kickbacks" received from mining firms.

It was on his petition the apex court appointed-Central Empowered Committee (CEC) probed the illegal mining issue in parts of Karnataka and recommended CBI probe into donations allegedly made by mining firms to a trust, run by Yeddyurappa's kin.

The Supreme Court is yet to commence hearing on the CEC report and pronounce its verdict.

The CEC report has come as a severe jolt to Yeddyurappa's efforts to be reinstated as chief minister. He was asked to step down by the BJP's central leadership in July last year following his indictment by a Lokayukta report on illegal mining.

As long as we have die hard loyalists like Rakesh and Nagesh, many more Yeddys & Reddys will rule the roost. Bringing rogue politicians in India to account for their misdeeds and getting them behind bars remains just a figment of imagination. I feel sad for my beloved motherland...

Hiremath is not a novice - he has challenged many other times when court did not give proper verdict - He was and is fully aware of the consequences challenging the former CM for his wrong doing - and he is brave too - where as the other person - when threatened and or paid a handsome sum - being a weak person or in dire need of funds - withdrew his challenge. Yeddy will go to any extent to clear his name through false means and that may be his undoing one day - right now may be yeddy is busy in influencing the CEC guys -
My thinking is SC should have severely reprimanded the person who withdrew his challenge and order a CBI probe as to why he withdrew - then the truth will come out

It is SAMAJ PARIVRTHAN TRUST,headed by Hiremath who tirelessly batted for Kannadiagas even though there were lot of appeals to outs him from the 'batting'.(against Illegal mining)

Now question arises who were that two influential persons belongs to Yeddy?Bommai?Katti?Kore?Nirani?all are belongs to Mumbai Karnataka segment politicians who were stood firmly with Yeddy during sailing and sinking.

Those who influenced Hiremath, were of fools because time and again Hiremath vowed to bring to the book of mine looters including Reddys. He had several interviews so for with national visual and print media in which some,I, did go through.

Now ball is in the court of law and nobody able to influence who ever may be and whatever high position he posses.I think Yeddy's first innings in politics is in hanging?

All are game plan by congress. Hiremath is the Chamcha of congress. Yeddy might be corrupt. But he is still one of the best. Congress CMs have done corruption 100 times more than Yeddy, but rescued themselves.
