New Beauty on Mangalore Roads - Hyundai i-Gen i20 Launched

Mangalore, Apr 27: The city roads have a brand new entrant in the form of a sleek and stylish car that will definitely have a few heads turning. The latest to hit the scene is Hyundai I-Gen I-20, a car equipped with the latest technology and yet quite affordable.

Hyundai Motor India Limited ranks second in India in volume of car productions. Its dealer Advait Hyundai Car Showroom, Kuntikan, launched the Hyundai i-Gen i20 car.

The car was launched in the city by police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh who presented the keys to the car's first customers Shashidar Rao, Mohammed Shabbir, Flavia Lancy, Ram Mohan Rai, Rizwan Jaman and Suresh.

Hyundai i-Gen i20 is available in many models. The price of petrol cars ranges from Rs 4.80 lc to Rs 6.75 lac, while diesel cars range from Rs 6.04 lac to Rs 7.54 lac. Automatic model is priced at Rs 7.78 lac.

i-Gen i20 has a 1.2 L petrol engine with 84 PS peak power, duel VT mechanism. Its 1.4 L U2 CRDI diesel engine has 6 manual gears with 22.4 kgm torque and 90 PS power.

It has a unique anti-glare-vision enabled electrochromic mirror that automatically illuminates while driving at the night, besides auto headlight control function that illuminates in darkness. It has rear disc brakes, super vision cluster, rain sensing wipers, with unique features like lane-change side indicator, smart key with push button start, driver seat arm rest and wide space for passengers as well as luggage.

The classic i-Gen i20 has high gloss front grill, 8 stroke mag-wheels, high mounted stop lamp, rear styler, chrome door handle, turn indicators on outside mirrors.

i-Gen i20 car has all the safety features as in other Hyundai vehicles, including  6 air bags, clutch lock system, smart pedal system, speed sensing auto door unlocking, reverse parking sensors and so on.

As per Automotive Research Association of India, P-Gen-O 20 gives a mileage of 18.5 kilometer per litre, while automatic model gives a mileage of 15 kilometer per litre. The car is available in 6 colours.

Advait Hyundai sales director Ajay Singh, Mangalore division sales manager Melvyn Fernandes, assistant sales manager Rajesh Ullal, service manager Shashikant Shetty were present at the launch ceremony.
