Mangalore: 'Bangarda Kural' Released in Seven Theatres Across DK, Udupi

Mangalore, Apr 27: 'Bangarda Kural', a Tulu movie produced and directed by Ram Shetty, released across the district and in Udupi on Friday April 27.

The movie was released at Jyothi theatre here with a simple ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Ram Shetty said that the movie has evoked good response, with advance booking in Adlabs, where it released simultaneously.

He expressed confidence in the success of the movie and said that people in the region have realized the value of Tulu film industry with the release of several movies of late. He added that the crowd at the theatres is expected to increase in the coming days.

The movie was released in seven theatres - Amarashree in Moodbidri, Aruna in Puttur, Kalpana in Udupi, Nakshatra in B C Road, Bharath in Belthangady, and Jyothi and Adlabs in Mangalore.

The movie was shot in Sunkadakatte, Moodbidri and other places. The film has seven songs and four fight sequences.

The cast includes Shivadwaj and Bhojpuri actress Paki Hegde in the lead, Namritha Hegde, Suresh Mangalore, Harish Vasu Shetty Mumbai, Vijaykumar Shetty Thonse, Aravind Bolar, Shobha Rai, Chanchalakshi, Jyothi Rai, Bhagya Rai, Ravi Suratkal, Pradeepchandra, Dinesh Attavar, Pradeep Alva Kadri, Kishori Ballal, Chandrahas Adyanthaya, Ashwini, Indira Shekar and Laxman.

The dialogues are by Macchendranath Pandeshwar. Sangeetha Balachandra, Ajay Warrior, Suma Shastri, Chaithra, Rameshchandra, Anuradha Bhat have sung the seven songs for which the music was composed by V Manohar. Raju K G is the videographer. The story is by Ram Shetty.

Most of the actors and crew were present at the release ceremony.

    Initial reactions from spectators are overwhelming and as per Raam Shetty quite promising...All thulu/beary/Konkani speaking citizens of Mangaloreans around the world need to patronage the film by watching in theater.As we know the market for THULU Film is from Mangaloreans only therefore, support such kind of attempts made by investor to sail further. Mr Ram shetty, kindly make a film on DK's glorious past of THULUVA-BEARY-KONKANI society based story film..... BEST OF LUCK and may BANGARDA KURAL run 100 days...
