Kundapur: Deanery Catholic Sabha Felicitates Newly-Elected MP Jayaprakash Hegde

Kundapur, Apr 30: The deanery Catholic Sabha felicitated Jayaprakash Hegde, newly-elected MP of Udupi–Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency during a function held at St Mary’s College auditorium on Sunday April 29.

Kundapur deanery vicar and parish priest of Our Lady of Rosary parish Fr Alban D’Souza felicitated Hegde by draping the shawl and presented him with mementoes on the occasion.



In his acknowledgement, Hedge said that he will make an honest effort in addressing the grievances of people of different castes, creeds, and religions by participating in 99 percent of the parliamentary sessions. 

“The opposition parties send a strong signal to governing parties on democratic governance. I have to earn parliamentary experience despite ctive role in politics during student life. I am also available to all in order to address their grievances,” said Hegde.

Catholic Sabha central committee’s Walter Cyril Pinto was felicitated during the programme for his extraordinary contributions in social welfare activities.

Sylvester D’Souza and Roshni Olivera were present on the dais. Kundapur deanery Catholic Sabha past president Alwyn Quadros welcomed the gathering.  Wilson D’Almeida compered the programme.
