Dubai, May 1:
Enthrall World, an event management company for the first time in UAE presented a mega star-studded show 'Temptation-2012 International Kannada Stars' at Dubai Tennis Stadium recently, witnessed by over 700 music loving Kannadigas of UAE.

Though the show had less audiences than expected, the show was superbly presented, as if one were watching a movie. Non-stop programme without a break connecting the audience throughout the three-hour show is rare these days. This is one show that put together good scripting and performance to enthrall the audience throughout, raising the level of Kannada language high above specially in Dubai after a long gap.

Though the actual programme started at around 8.40 pm everyone could hear the stars announcing from the backstage from 7.30 pm that they were getting ready to present the show after the prayers. This initially kept the audience connected and when Ramesh Arvind came on live with his beautiful inaugural speech it really touched the hearts of all the Kannadigas who cheered with applause. Ramesh Arvind who completed 25 years of his acting career in Kannada films was felicitated and honoured with 'Mysore Peta' and shawl by the organiser Prasad and the main sponsors.

The star-studded show comprised Ramesh Arvind, Upendra, Tarun Chandra, Dhiganth, Vijaya Raghavendra, Radhika Gandhi, Pooja Gandhi, Neetu, Adhendrida Ray, Pragna, Harshika Poonacha, Sadhu Kokila, Bank Janardhan, Tennis Krishna and Arun Sagar along with music director Hari Krishna and his singers Anuradha Bhat, Chetan and Hari Krishna gave enchanting performances liked and loved by all the audienc. The dances performed by the local talents Ocean Kids group were really superb though they were given just one day rehearsal by visiting choreographer Harsha. One more thing to be praised is the orchestra comprising Deva and his troupe of only three musicians created a sound effect like that of a full-fledged troupe.

The flow of the programme went on smoothly after another great performance by all the current hot star cast of Kannada 'Sandalwood' film industry who mingled with the UAE audiences just like a common person. In between the programme were comedy skits by Bank Janardhan, Tennis Krishna and Sadhu Kokila who presented some rib-tickling comedy items which added spice to the programme. But the best was Arun Sagar, a brilliant personality who came on with various roles spontaneously with a mind-blowing script that flowed like sea.

Pooja Gandhi came on in the midst of the audience and shared her song from her first film 'Mungaru Male' and the audience enjoyed every bit of it. Upendra too joined the audience and danced with children. He sang some numbers of his film which was enjoyed thoroughly by his fans in Dubai. Dhighant had many fans who wanted to dance with him and he did it later. Vijaya Raghavendra too called on one of his fan onto the stage and danced with her.

Chilly Willy released their energy drink in between the show to all the stars and later distributed to the audience.

On the whole the programme was one of its kind ever presented in UAE for quite some time. The organisers praised the media representative for the success of the programme and promised more programmes in the future. Those who could not attend this event really lost a chance of being part of a good magical theme based programme liked and loved by those who were present connected like 'abhimanigale devru' well said in the concluding part of the programme.

Looks like everyone watched the dresses (which were fabulous) and missed the show. Pull your head off the sand and encourage the talent. It is not the end of the world if people dress differently.

To all commenting on the dresses, there have been even worse dresses especially on Family Channels, so I think we can quit complaining about the dresses and instead comment on how the programme was.
Infact, the programme was excellent and all the artiste had performed very well.

I attend almost every konkani and kannada programe, and to date, of all the functions attended in the past 14 years, this was one of the best and beautifully organised function with non-stop entertainment. This was a well planned programme, and is at par with bollywood in terms of organisation, planning, entertainment, dress and keeping the crowd focussed on the programe.

I watched this programe non-stop and was there from beginning to end, so was the crowd. what you see in pictures is a fraction of what the programe was, so lets not judge by a few pictures posted on site. The only concern was, the tickets were expensive, could have been cheaper, and such programes should come to Dubai often with more publicity and sponsorship. All of us watch movies, and would have seen worse dressed celebrities, actors job is to entertain public in different characters, could be scarcely dressed or could be completely covered. God bless kannada movies and kannada language

Dear readers, beauty and ugliness are the views of our mind, it does not matter how people are dressed or how they look, it is our ugly mind which see at a woman and express our desire. Why don’t you think in the same way as the lady who wore the dress thinks, even she wants to enjoy her freedom. For sure the person who saw the pictures and thinks that the females are in UGLY dressed code has already committed adultery in his heart.

I too felt very embarrasing with this Kannada actors wearing ugly dresses especially the lady wearing blue dress. They could have wore Saree and Chudidars. instead.
