Mangalore: Youngsters Swim to Glory at District-level Contest

Mangalore, May 2: Jai Hind Club, Mangalore organized a district-level swimming competition for school boys and girls of various age groups at the city corporation swimming pool at Ladyhill here on May 1.

The competition was organized to encourage swimmers of the coastal district and also to prepare them for the forthcoming state level competitions, the organizers said.

More than 145 swimmers participated in the competition. As many as 270 medals and certificates were distributed to the winners.

The swimming competitions were based on freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, breast stroke and relay consisting of 200, 100 and 50 meters.

    Mr Ramakrishna is a excellent coach. My son Avyaya could win gold medal in both freestyle and backstroke in group 6 boys catagory.
