Kuwait : Brothels Raided in Ongoing Campaign


KUWAIT, May 5 (Kuwait Times) : The Criminal Investigations Department continues its widespread campaigns against brothels, as storming continue with warrants from the public prosecution department. Charges against arrested citizens vary. Expatriates will be sent to court and others deported. Led by the Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security, teams of detectives have assisted policemen to raid apartments in Riqqa, Salmiya and Hawally.

A two-year-old Kuwaiti boy was taken to Farwaniya Hospital after drinking Kerosene.

Salwa fight

A 41-year-old male Kuwaiti complained of chest pain following a fight in Salwa. He was taken to Mubarak Hospital. A 36-year-old Bangladeshi was injured in the head during a fight near Al-Sahel sports club in Fahaheel. He was taken to Adan Hospital.

A 35-year-old Lebanese man broke his elbow when he fell from a horse in Kabad. He was taken to Farwaniya Hospital. Three Indian women and a Kuwaiti suffered smoke inhalation during a fire in a Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh building. One of the women had to be taken to Farwaniya Hospital.

Car accidents

A car accident near Bayan Palace killed a 57-year-old woman and injured a 21-year-old on his chin, while an 18-year-old youth complained of a pain in his arm.

A 24-year-old Kuwaiti sustained a broken foot following a car accident on Second Ring Road near Qadsiya. He was taken to Amiri Hospital.

Two men from Somalia in their mid thirties suffered various bruises and grazes following a car accident in Abdalli area. They were taken to Jahra Hospital.

A car accident on Fahaheel Road near Salwa area resulted in a head injury to a 50-year-old Egyptian. A 32-year-old Indian broke his hand, an 18- year-old male Kuwaiti suffered a laceration on his face and a 25-year-old was bleeding from his nose. They were all taken to Mubarak Hospital.
