Saudi Arabia, May 5:
The annual gathering of Kannada students of Salafi Madrassa was organized recently at Al-Wafah Istirah in Riyadh, here. The Karnataka Salafi Association (KSA)-Riyadh Unit organized this event under the topic ‘Sanmaargada Haadi Thorisuva Qur’an’ (Qur’an, which shows the right path).

The gathering, which started in the morning with the Quran recitation and ended in the evening after Maghrib prayer, was witnessed by the presence of the Da’ees (preachers), guests and other good number of audiences, who arrived from all corners of the kingdom.

Addressing the audience, Umer Farooq Ullal, teacher of the Kannada Madrassa said, “Our deeds and actions should be according to the canons of Qur’aan, Sunnah/Hadeeth and life model of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (SA); we have no right to add or delete anything in Islam in the name of prayer or supplication; Prophet Muhammad (SA) brought about remarkable and revolutionary changes in the lives of the people, who were in the amid of all sorts of savageries and barbarisms; it was the time where there was no respect for humanity and women were being treated as chattels for the pleasure of men and girl children were buried alive as they considered them as a symbol of humiliation and dishonor to their families; the Prophet (SA) brought them under a single umbrella of Qur’an and Islam and instilled in them a concept of pure Tawheed (oneness of the Almighty) to get close to the God”.

He further articulated that the Shirk (making company with the Almighty) is a major sin, which the God will not forgive at all, unless he give it up after making repentance; peace and tranquility can be achieved only with the proper practice of Islam in one’s life. He also urged to the Muslims to lead their lives according to the correct Manhaj (method) and Aqeedah (faith) as taught by the salafs.

A variety of Islamic programmes and talent shows by the students and other children were conducted.

A unique feature of the programme was that it was entirely anchored by Master Danish, a senior student of the Madrassa.

Islamic songs, speeches, skits of question and answer etc had been slotted in the programme. It was an excellent opportunity for the girls and boys to exhibit their various types of flairs and talents through their participation in the events.

Quiz competitions were also conducted for the gents and ladies in the morning session. The prizes were conferred to the winners and participants in the end of the gathering.

Haneef Bardila, B M Mansour, Moosa Manjeshwar (All from KSA Riyadh Unit), S M Majeed (Daee of KSA, Al-Khobar Unit) M.H.Hameed (Online Da’ee, Al-Khobar), Zulfikar Ali and Hassan Bawa Suralpady (Al-Khobar) were present on the dais.
