Udupi: Inter-District Bodybuilding Competitions to Begin on May 12

Udupil, May 9:
“The district Bodybuilders’ Association and Muscles Gym, Padubidri, will be organizing the inter-district bodybuilding competitions at Siri Garden auditorium, Padubidri, on Saturday May 12.  The competition will be held for bodybuilders of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttar Kannada districts,” said Dr Manoj Kumar Shetty, president, Muscles Gym, Padubidri.
 
Addressing media persons on Tuesday May 8, Dr Shetty said that the competitions will named as ‘Mr Karavali’, with cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a trophy.  Nearly 100 bodybuilders from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttar Kannada are likely to participate in the competition sponsored by Pune entrepreneur Chandrahas Shetty.
 
A dance show by Swingers Suratkal group will be held before the competitions. Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon will inaugurate the bodybuilding contest.
 
“Ravindranath G Hedge, Madhav Poojary, Navinchandra J Shetty, Chandrahas Shetty, and Pramod Madwaraj will be the chief guests on the occasion,” added Dr Shetty.
 
Govardhan Bangera, Shiva Kumar, Maxim D’Souza, Naresh Kannangar, and Sharat Kumar were present at the press meet.
