Mangalore, May 12: "Compassion of doctors and nurses towards the patients in rendering service is more important than mere technology and state of art", said M Veerappa Moily, Cabinet Minister of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India, while inaugurating the Indiana Hospital here in city.

While addressing the gathering after formally inaugurating the Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, he advised the management to include a class of people who have no access to such facility. The change of mindset is important for a greater revolution in the health sector and money should not be the only target, Moily added.

Ali Kumble, the chairmen welcomed the gathering. Yusuf Kumble, the managing director briefed about the super specialty of the hospital. He said that Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute is a corporate hospital promoted by the public sector and owned by the shareholders.

He also explained some of the future projects that the hospital is likely to take up in the near future. The future project includes medical tourism, mobile treatment etc. He informed that the hospital consists of 300 beds, providing international treatments with affordable price.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and deputy speaker Yogish Bhat too expressed their compliments on the occasion.
