Valencia is indeed a very rich parish. I have a question, where does all the money for any church construction/renovations come from apart from the rich parishioners?

It was nostalgic to read the article and reminscence my younger days living next to the church. Yes, it was a great parish, where I was baptized, grew up and have my loved ones buried there. It was indeed a famous parish during my childhood days. Whether it was singing or cricket, drama or any other activity, Valencia was victorious with medals and trophies. Keep up the good work and shine as usual.

There is a common saying often recited within our home in Texas that goes as follows : "Midst pleasures and palaces thou you may roam, be it ever so humble there is no place like home". When we think of our home, although we have lived in 7 major cities of the world in six countries for the past 56 years, the names such as Valencia, Jeppoo, and Kankanady are prominently embraced always in our minds and in our hearts.

The parish called Valencia where we both were born and baptized, the school of Bethany that we began our school journey, and our humble home at Bishops Compound at Jeppoo are daily in our thoughts and prayers. Our prayers are handsomely rewarded and we have been blessed.

Our beloved parents, many of our family members, neighbours and friends are resting peacefully at the Valencia church cemetary. We our proud of our family, our community and our Mangalore Diocese who have given us so much in our daily welfare of life.

Thank you, Fr. Bona for your wise and able leadership. Thank you, Bishop Aloysius for your continued guidance. Our parish has always been gifted with some of the best priests such as Fr.Monthu Menezes, Fr.Paul Fernandes, Fr. Rebello, Fr. Miranda, Fr. Alexander and many more. Thank you for all the Valencia Parishoners for your dedication and service to our dynamic parish. Whenever we visit Mangalore we shall always visit our Parish church and be of service to you in whichever way possible.

We are proud of our faith, wse are proud of our family and we are also proud of our great country. May God bless you all.
