Although tulu nadu people top studies, Tulu Nadu people are denied the job opportunities in karnataka and We have to migrate to other states and abroad to get jobs. Its high time that we have a separate state of our own and our people get our dues. tulu Nadu people must reject kannada as studying kannada does not give any oppoetunities. why should we study someone else' language which does not yield any result?

I fully disagree with Manasa Kudla.
Now Mangalore district alone have 19 Eng colleges, which is for the population of less than 5 lakh people. Bangalore have 76 Eng college, but for the whopping population of 84 lakh.
Mangalore literacy rate is 94%, but Bangalore literacy rate is 89%. School and college infrastructure
in Mangalore and Udupi districts are top in the state. Therefore the quality of the education, school/colleges available for the density of Mangalore population is very good and is topper in the entire state. Please check SSLC and PUC results of past 10 years including this year before you comment.

Yes Anushka, there are 15 Engineering Colleges in and around Mangalore.
But here numbers are not important. Are any of these colleges fall in the Top 10 list(Except NITK) ?
Quality of education is not comparable. Only few companies show interest to recruit from here.
More than that out of these 15 colleges, 80% of them are opened recently[In the last 5-6 years].
What about the generation before 2004/05? Majority of the ppl had to study outside.
    Hope you got the point?

Congratulations Mangalore and Udupi once again showing the good standard results in PU. There is always combination Mangalore and Udupi as in SSLC udupi first and now reverse in PUC results that Mangalore first. Any way the undivided DK bring laurels in the state. The students work hard and because of these they excelled in studies and have a good futute. Well done. May God bless. At the same time Kodagu neighbouring district also shown improvement

@ Manasa, Kudla ... Agreed with your words for some extent. But there is a lot of improvement when compared to situation 10 years back. Now there are a lot of Engg colleges in DK and Udupi now. they need atleast 5 years to raise the standards or reach to Colls in bangalore and mysore.

    Hope those days come soon..

Save the girl child today for a better tomorrow

"A son is a son till he takes a wife.......A daughter's a daughter the rest of her life."

Girls are the mothers of the world. Educate a girl to educate future generations.Heaven lies beneath the feet of a mother. A girl child is the mother of the future.A girl child is the gateway to Heaven for parents.

Congratulation Mangalore and Udupi for keeping the first two positions safely since last 2 decades.

But one worry is, after securing good marks in PU, students will have to go to Blore/Mysore for Engineering studies. Still the higher education in Mangalore is not improved? Why only restricted to good PU education???
