    Dear Rose,
You have not given the correct answer. First it has to be investigated whether they had really worth of 3.5 lacs jewellery. If they have jewellery that doesnot mean that they should travel by flight, thats their choice, whether to travel by bus, auto ,cycle or by train , plane tec. Secondly , some people when they are with family ,they like to travel by train also like to see natural beauty. While travelling whether to wear gold or not its their own choce. What we can talk here is law and order and safety. This has to be taken care

If you have so much worth of jewellery, you can afford a plane ticket. One person can travel by flight and the jewellery will be safe. Also do not spread the word around that you will carry jewellery or valuables with you. Travel with simple bags and simple clothes.

Mr. Nagesh Nayak - If evrything has to be controlled and maintained by Central then why is the state government for. You are seriously phobic to something my dear. I feel really pity on you. If tomorrow(may God Forbidden) something bad happens in your family also - then first thing u r sure to tell is - This was due to INTALIAN LED UPA CENTRAL GOVERNMENT. Pls dont ever "doubt" on your wife (if u have/if evr u have) stating that - this was due to central government'.

Very sorry to note this type of incident within our district. Are we in “CHAMBAL” valley where it was normal during earlier days to have dacoits in the train? Based on the information provided in the news bulletin, it looks some one known to the family may have given a tip off to the miscreants. How can this be avoided in future (Security beefing)

I wonder reading this article, 6 thieves sourrounded a family in train, was the compartment empty? that too in Indian trains?

@ Gerald wearing or carying gold is not an offence, may be the family was travelling for an occassion like some one rightly said.

Best thing will be fix with cc cameras in appropriate distance focusing the entry and exit in the train, and notices should be posted in every railway stations regarding this, so thieves will think twice to do such act. Even any crime happens subsequently the victim can identify the culprit.

Oo Shrimaan Nagesh Nakayaree.. don't please embarrass us by your foolish joking comments. You are blaming every thing for that happening in Karnataka. Tomorrow you may blame Central Food Supply in charge Minister in case you got a upset stomach or the Home Minister for any theft in your home.

Need of the hour is not to blame any governments this issue is related to person to person, first he should educate himself that what is good / bad in life i.e. traveling in a train with jewellery worth 3.5 lacks - common sense !!! recent past so many robberies happened in the same route which we read but still people wont give up their attitude or use common sense THIS IS NOT A COMPLICATED ISSUE AND WE CAN AVOID BY USING OUR COMMON SENSE !! ( EVEN WHEN WE ARE VOTING)

Activity of same group - who are drugging passengers - once daiji highlighted. Why now-a-days only 'bunts' are targeted?. They are carrying sufficent wealth which obtained from hotel business to be poured in to 'kolas' and 'Naga-Mandals' in there native place. Should ask 'eelada bhootha' to inform person's name who commited theft.
