Udupi: Swami Vishweshateertha Inaugurates Mahalaxmi Auditorium

Udupi, May 29: “The Mogaveera community is of sea-farers and is known for unity, a virtue worthy to be emulated,” said Swami Vishweshateertha of Pejavar Mutt.
 
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the air-conditioned Mahalaxmi auditorium located on the premises of Mahalaxmi temple, Ucchila, under Dakshina Kannada Mogaveera Mahajan Sangha. The auditorium was constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.

“The Mogaveera community is known for its religiosity, cultural upbringing and devotion,” said Swami Vishweshateertha. He also commended the community for constructing the auditorium that would benefit the society.
 
Swami Vishweshateertha felicitated G Shankar Family Trust chairman Dr G Shankar for major contributions in constructing the auditorium that would serve societal needs. The toppers of SSLC were also felicitated on the same occasion.
 
Dr G Shankar inaugurated the newly-constructed auditorium on Monday May 28.
 
Udupi–Chikmagalur MP K Jayaprakash Hegde inaugurated Dr G Shankar mini hall while Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon inaugurated the green room.
 
Mogaveera Mahajan Sangha president B Keshav Kundar presided over the programme.

The newly-built auditorium is air-conditioned with a seating capacity for 1,000 people, a spacious dining facility for 500 people, and spacious car parking. A mass wedding programme will be held at this auditorium on Wednesday May 30.
