We belong to Pilar but are in Bangalore because of work. We dont belong to any politcal party nor support any individual.
But we have right to fight for good roads and we congratulate on the efforts taken by all our community members. Hats off to them for their good initiative.
I have seen our road go from bad to worse for many years. Whosoever came in the power only did patch up in the name of development.
People of pilar always cursed the bad roads but no one raised thier voice. Today we are happy that people raised thier voice for what is duely thier right.

People of Pilar - Please see to it that whatever has been sanctioned is utilised for the betterment of the road.

After last week protest, Mudarangandi Panchayath took some action and released immediate fund of 2 lac for repair work. This has been already communicated to the public.. still some protest looks like some political motive / personal gain behind this drama..Mr.Sunilraj shetty the present President of Panchayath is doing good job and we wish all the best to him for next term also...

RAKESH and NAGASH,WE ARE IN KARNATAKA STATE.PROVIDING GOOD ROADS IS THE DUTY OF THE PWD OF KARNATAKA STATE GOVERNMENT.YET DAVID DSOUZA WHO WAS THE PRESIDENT OF GRAMA PANCHAYET SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS WORK WHEN HE WAS IN POWER INSTEAD OF PROTESTING NOW.YET THE PROTEST IS NOT WRONG AS LONG AS IT HAS NO PERSONAL INTEREST OF POLITICAL MILLAGE.

    Dear Readers,

This protest is organised just to get sympathy votes for the forth coming elections. 2 Crores paid by Nagarjuna/UPCL co to repair this road as they use this road for their trucks is used for personal business & to build villas by local politicians!!!! Why the inquiry has not been held punish the corrupt politicians? Both entry point for this road Congress leaders like IVAN D'SOUA & DAVID reside. As Anil mentioned SC/ST, north Indians been used to marginalise the opponents in 2010 and the case still going on!!!

Indeed roads are in very bad condition all over Udupi District. But as rightly said by Jacob Mendonsa, why David & Navin D’souza brothers making nuisance now when they had enough chance and funds to carry out repair works in their previous Gram Panchayat Rule. But hats off to Local People for rising their voice at least now and it makes sense too since all Local Politicians will rush to Police Station to solve the court case and put their effort to get the road repair now. We can recollect the issues when Mudarangadi Local People protesting against their demolition of houses and religious places for UPCL Project but few Local Village Politicians made money by offering their equipment & vehicles to UPCL for hire

Mr. Jacob D'Souza, Do you think, Mr. David Dsouza has taken the initiave for the upliftment of the society??? He wants to prove himself as a hero and wants to grab attention of innocent public. There are many instances where he has only done injustice and has been noted for criminal activities.

Being violent is not the way to protest for the Roads. Why cant the public request the govt officials in a good way?? If not at muncipal level, let them approach the higher officials. But being violent, they have spoiled their image in front of so many people. Sad to see few of the so called "Educated/teachers" supporting the protestors. Old ladies has been taken to police custody. Very sad to to know this is the situation of our country. Wake up people!!!

When will the Panchayat do the job? Monsoon is due any moment. I request the peace loving people of this area, please carry out your protests peacefully. Do not harm the officials even if they are inefficient. May be peaceful morcha to their office would get better results.

I second Jacob Mendonsa's comment. Why David D'souza did not take initiative when he was president? It looks like election is on the way and he wants to become President again. Guys there will be a lot of funds to manipulate if you become President. David's strategy is hire some SC/ST guys and beat other guys as the other guy cannot raise hand to SC/ST guys.

People dont get assaulted when carrying out their duty. They get assaulted when they do not carry out their duty. A person diligently doing his task in advance is never disturbed. When an official delays his task to the break point, then the agitatimng public will assault the official.

I fail to understand as to why David D'souza did not take any initiative to repair this road, which is passing behind his house Prince Point, when he was the president of Mudarangadi Panchayat.
What about Mr.Ivan Dsouza? Why he has not taken any interest to repair the roads, which r in very bad pathetic conditions near his home town in Mudarangadi? What about the funds allocated to Mudarangadi panchayat in previous years for the repair of these roads.Who swindeled the funds? A thorough investigation is needed.

Due to Karnataka Govt's bad governance and non accountability people are started to revolt. For them my request is that just bear another 8 months things will go ok.People need a change for progressive and Developmental Karnataka. It is rare, people fighting violently for road repair! This shows people are frustrated and fed up with present Govt's apathy toward progress and basic needs.
