Dubai, Jun 3: It was a show that revealed the little-known facts about a lady who, in her vast experience and career, has outdone the best of men and sent shivers through the spines of wrongdoers.

After helping raise Dh 1,20,000 in just 24 hours for ailing little Saurav recently, popular radio channel 105.4 Radio Spice brought Dr Kiran Bedi, the highest ranked female officer in India, closer to the UAE audience at the launch of one of its many initiatives, 'Kandid Konversations with Kritika' with RJ Kritika.

The conversation took place in a pleasant setting at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dubai. Dr Bedi arrived at 9 pm, and conversed with RJ Kritika for an hour on a wide variety of topics. She traced her journey beginning at the IPS, her life during her period of service, and her transition from 'Ey Ladki!' (Hey girl!) to Madam, and then to Sir.

The prominent part of the talk was her stance on anti-corruption. She spoke about how India's progress was intricately tied to the progress of its people as a whole, rather than just the rich 1 percent.

While saying that the politicians were part of the corruption problem eating away at India, she also believed that politicians, good honest politicians, were the solution. And it was up to the public to recognise and elect them.

Being in the media for the past year as part of 'Team Anna', as well as due to her outlook towards justice, her life has undergone immense scrutiny. Dr Bedi assertively said that while she was a public figure, her private life was something that she kept private. That's when RJ Kritika put the 'Kandid' in 'Kandid Konversation, and asked her questions about Kiran, the woman behind it all.

Dr Bedi spoke of life after duty, fears, and her support system that helped her become the person she is today. In addition to that, amidst laughter from the crowd, Dr Bedi and RJ Kritika even talked romance, dates and crushes.

Invited to be a part of this conversation were prominent members of media agencies and well-known personalities of UAE, who asked questions to Dr Bedi, the best of which received autographed copies of 'I Dare' and 'Himmat Hai'.

Following the conversation, the audience were invited to a lovely dinner, ending what was a wonderful start to many more Kandid Konversations to come.

Speaking after the event to Daijiworld, Herman Lewis, CEO of Radio Spice 105.4 FM said, "Being the first of its kind programme by any radio station in the Gulf 105.4 Radio Spice FM has taken a bold initiative to bring well-known world class personalities in contact with the listeners of UAE and world over through their local FM and live stream of Radio Spice 105.4 FM on the net, keeping in terms with their philosophy of "Fulltoo Twisted" to be different.
