Udupi: Thieves Loot Valuables Worth Rs 3 Lac From House

Udupi, Jun 15: Thieves targeted a house in Uliyaragoli that comes under the limits of Kaup gram panchayat on Wednesday June 13.

The theft occurred at the house of  Prabhakar Shetty on Wednesday night, while his family was away vacationing in Mumbai. 

The thieves decamped with Rs 50,000 in cash, 12 sovereigns of jewellery, and 750 gm of silverware, altogether worth over Rs 3 lac.

Deputy superintendent of police Jayant Shetty, Kaup sub-inspector Archana, probationary sub-inspector Kavita, fingerprints experts, and sniffer dogs squad paid a visit to the spot.

Kaup police registered a case in this regard.

KONKAN RAILWAY IS THE BEST TRANSPORTATION TO RUN AFTER THEIR BOOTY. POLICE DEPARTMENT SHOULD KEEP AN EYE ON RAILWAY STATIONS.

    People should give information to Police!

    Please call your Police Department and give information about any strange outsiders.

    Police should keep watch at Railway a station and Bus and do Spot Checks like Chennai.

    Leaving house unattended for long time is extremely dangerous.Thieves,now a days tempted to look for gold for it's charms in terms of market price.After knowing all these scenarios Mr Prabhakar Shetty, solicited the theft.@ least police department could be informed of the vacation.We are inviting theft due our negligence and therefore, no one to be blamed.
