Murugesh Nirani Faces Assault Charge, Police Register FIR

Bagalkot, Jun 16 (PTI): Police today registered an FIR against Karnataka Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani and three others, including two of his security personnel, for allegedly assaulting a farmer at Mantur village, about 80 km from here.

Irked over his car blocking their vehicles, the Minister and his staff reportedly had an heated exchange with Shivanand Timsani of Mantur village and allegedly assaulted him.

Timsani later filed a complaint at Mudhol police station where an FIR was registered, police said.

A crowd thronged the station and staged a dharna demanding arrest of Nirani and others in connection with the alleged assault.

According to local people, rivalry existed between Nirani and Timsani families.

    He is a big lier. A Minister of State lying. Shame - oh God - what am I saying - They have no shame anyway.
    The incident took place because Nirani wants the farmer's land and I am sure at the lowest price or may be he threatening the farmer that land belongs to him (forged land documents)
    Now a days Farmers are educating themselves of their rights through mobiles.TV programmes etc. They are aware of agencies which can protect them even if they are threatened of their life.
    In another case Yeddy/shettar etc along with Police chiefs Bidar/Miriji have been charged with faking land documents and threatening with dire consequences if the farmer takes legal action.
    No lawyer would take up his case u all know why already - he is fighting his own case and filed a complaint with the Lokayukta.
    I hope Lokayukta will take up the case soonest and take actions against the culprit.
    How shameless these so called CMS/Ministers/MPs/MLAs etc/ and the protectors of LAW!!!
    Hope these guys rot in jail for the rest of their years.
    They have to build more jails (more land required - more scam there too) to accommodate BJP/Cog/JD(U)/Police personnel etc

    How come arrogant Nirani takes law in his own hand when he is a minister ??
    He is unfit to continue in his job, should be thrown out of BJP immediately, brought to justice and he deserve to apologize for the cowardly act and come clean.
    All is not well in his constituency as people claim, cos i have personally been to Bijapur 3 months back and experienced the sorry state of backwardness of this great district.

    Mr.Murugesh Nirani, you are a big lier unless you slap the farmer no one will be going to blame you. you are a Minister. do you know your duty, you are a servant of the public but you are going in a big car, how you will know the pain of a ordinary man, do you know if I am a judge of the court, I would have been put you minimum 5 years in jail and also, you will work during the impresionmentin the field. better resign and get out.

    Nirani is an innocent and self esteemed person. Congress always targets him unnecessarily in our district. I am very confident to say the congress goonda has come in the form of FARMER.

    Under Nirani our district has seen lots of development. Congress party is not able to digest this and always weave net around him.

    While denouncing the minister's action , the commentators, most of them, seems to be ignoring the fact that the complainant Mr.Timsani was intentionally obstructing the passage of the minister's path. That explain clearly there are other reasons for creating such situation.

An FRI has been registered against Mr. Nirani for assaulting a farmer and you say it’s a political conspiracy by the Congress. FRI is for assaulting a farmer. By assaulting the minister has shown his arrogance and power. In that sense, your BJP party is known for all such unruly behaviours.     Public servant these minister are wrost than the terrorist. Sad to see either they are corrupt, terrorist or anti farmers, communals, rapist you can name it many more. India required a law anyone plan to enter politics requires to qualify education, police clearance, worked so many hours to serve the public or proved that completed serving public as social worker, leadership quality, magangment skills, knowledge of world histroy as well local histroy, soft skills etc without such criteria these thugs should not allowed to join politics which will impact the society as well as creates negativity among people. Public suffers towards productivity and moral towards the country which impact the economy. Since Yeddy time upto now so much is going on in Karnataka hard to imagine. I am not a fan of Congress or any political party. For sure I am against such idiots instead of supporting the farmers this man harms them. Who wil do the farming this guys father.

    This is the third incident and Bacche Gowda,Minister of Labor, Govt of Karnataka himself trashed to bikers for overtaking minis trial car!!!

    Murgesh Nirani,Industry Minister,could have been avoided this mean encounter with public even though rivalry existed between them.After all BJP govt's reputation @ stake!I think DVS could not able to do anything against M.Nirani because he, one of the main supporter of STRONGMAN OF BJP,BSY.Minister or Law maker must be restraint of such untoward incident due to sensitiveness of the nature of the job.Nirani Saab, you have enough court cases, particularly against one Basha,from North Karnataka Business man and this will added headache....
