‘Kalaakul’, the only Konkani theatre repertory, promoted by city-based Mandd Sobhann, will be staging a theater festival titled ‘Kalaakulotsav’ at Don Bosco Hall on Saturday June 23 and Sunday June 24.
 
'Eksuri Bayl’ (Lonely Wife), based on the Bengali novel of Ravindranath Tagore of 100 minutes duration will be staged at 6.30 pm on Saturday. ‘Asllo Eklo Cha Fra’, three popular plays of legendary Konkani playwright and dramatist Cha Fra D’Costa - ‘Magirchey Magir’, ‘Shirigundi Simaon’, and ‘Dakter Dusman’ of 100 minutes duration will be staged here at 5 pm on Sunday June 24. 

Konkani play ‘Tulsi’ of 100 minutes duration, based on the novel of Jnanpith award winner Ravindra Kelekar will be staged at 7 pm on Sunday June 24. This will be a great opportunity for all those who are interested in theatre to witness the standards achieved by Konkani theater.
 
Arun Raj Rodrigues is the playwright, Neenasam Christopher D’Souza is the play director, and Eric Ozario is the music director of Kalaakulotsav.
 
The entry tickets are Rs 100 for all the plays and Rs 50 for one play.
