Mangalore, Jun 25: Thieves broke into a house located at Falnir here on the intervening night between Sunday June 24 and Monday June 25 and decamped with gold and cash.

The house belongs to Sushila Karkera, wife of Vaman Karkera. She was not at home when the incident took place.

The upper floor of the house has been given on rent. The tenant, Balvinder Singh of United Motors, had been to Nagpur to attend a wedding. The theft was discovered on Monday June 25.

Thieves left the ground floor untouched, but broke into Balvinder's room and decamped with gold and cash. The entire floor was ransacked, with clothes and stuff strewn all over the place.

As neither the tenant nor the owners were at home, the total amount of the stolen valuables has not yet been ascertained.

Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot with a canine squad and conducted preliminary investigations.

I think You and Nagesh need to keep the free advices to yourselves rather than irritating people. Hope the dislikes you get for your comments can show a mirror reflection to you.

Please help the needy in your own way rather than becoming a postman of the political parties. Its you and i, who can help the worl to be a good place. You make the difference by your actions and not words.

Same kind of incendent heppend on 18th June in my house also in Valancia. We called the police and case has been registered. Our Mangalore Police should act fast to catch these theves and put them behind bars. Otherwise many more empty houses may targetted by these theves. I strongly believe that without local informar this kind of incendents in the city which is not possible.
Pandeshwer Police is very co-operative and will catch the culprits.

I was waiting to read Nagesh's and Rakesh Shettys comments ... i thought that Italian led congress might have done something here also...or maybe DVS was not competent enough to be watching the house and foil the robbery plan and cathc the thieves. Also, i think Mlore is a strong hold of the BJP...so i expect some nice comments from Nagesh Maam and Rakesh on this issue.

Sometimes it could be handiwork of a driver /carpenter / plumber / electrician / ex domestic maid ,who know the full inside of the house / style of living of the owners/ tenants etc.It is best to nab them first .This is my opinion.

It's very strange that some people disagree even if there is a genuine reason for their comments. I gave comments earlier that there should be vigilant police squad and some disagree.  Before you disagree think twice.

This is something we have to think about, how cum both owner and tenant are gone. I think we have to inform a security agency when we leave the house and go, where they can deploy a gaurd or two to keep a watch. we might have to pay a little but be able to save a lot.

It's very strange that some people disagree for each and everything. If it is reasonable point also they disagree because may be some of them are professional thieves or murderers.

Dear police force, are you petrolling or not. Such a small city like Mangalore, you can not control theft and murder. Dear police commissioner and DSP pleae be strict with your police force to stop all crimes by keeping the monitoring team to check the duty of scheduled police team. There should be 24 hours vigilant police squad.
