Udupi: Speeding Car Knocks Down Three of Family

Udupi, Jun 25: A speeding car injured three pedestrians near Perdoor here on Sunday June 24 at around 2.30 pm.

The injured have been identified as Prakash Bhandarkar, his sister Kalpana Bhandarkar and nephew Nikitha.

The three were about to cross the road on their way back after attending a marriage at Perdoor Rama Mandir when they were hit by a Maruti 800 (KA 19 Z 1799).

It is learnt that Shekar Peradoor, the car driver was plying from Hiryadka towards Peradoor at high speed when he hit them.

A complaint was filed by Yogesh Bhandarkar.

A case has been registered for high speed and negligence at Hiryadka Police Station under Sec 279,337 IPC.

    It looks very strange. A small car knock down three persons at once. In between Hiraidka and Perdoor even not much people are on road. May be not seen 'car' while crossing the road. Real Tragedy.
