Mangalore: Student Council Inaugurated at St Agnes College

Mangalore, Jul 1: The student council of St Agnes Degree College for the year 2012-13 was inaugurated in the college auditorium on Saturday June 30.
 
Fr Joseph Lobo, director of St Joseph's Engineering College (SJEC) was the chief guest. The programme began with lighting of the lamp by the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Joseph Lobo congratulated the council members. He spoke on leadership qualities and wished them luck for the academic year.
 
Student president Falen Lasrado along with four vice-presidents Liean, Roshel Frank, Akanksha Hebbar and Pallavi along with the secretaries of various subjects and associations presented the agenda for year ahead.
 
Sr Maria Prem D’Souza, principal led the young leaders in oath. Shanthi Nazareth proposed the vote of thanks.
 
Professor H L Gowda, Sr Supriya, vice-principal, among others were present.

 

‘Fresh Face 2012-13’

The student council of St Agnes College Mangalore, had their first event 'Fresh Face of the Year 2012-13' from June 25 to 28, intended to make all the freshers feel at home.

The event was organized for freshers only in order to give them a glimpse of the college environment.

The event involved a series of competitions such as JAM, group discussion, extempore, talent show, stress interview, quiz, mock press and others. The events were conducted faculty-wise wherein Esther Crasta (BCom), Manjeeta (BBM), Anjuman (science) and Benzeeta (arts) were declared winners.

Sr Supriya (vice principal), Dr Devi Prabha Alva (Dept of Commerce), Veena (department of Psychology) gave away the trophies to winners.
