Mangalore, Jul 1: In yet another case of suspected suicide, a woman jumped into a well along with her three-year-old daughter at Hosakaveri near Kinnigoli here on Sunday July 1. Though the woman died, the daughter had a miraculous escape.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Padmini, daughter of Pushpa, and resident of Mogaveerapatna that comes under the limits of Ullal town panchayat.

Padmini was married to Chandrahas Shettigar, a resident of Hosakaveri. Chandrahas was employed in Mumbai earlier but he opened a flower stall in Haleangady a year ago.

Chandrahas and Padmini have a three-year-old daughter Shivani who attends nursery school. Chandrahas and his family were living along with his brother-in-law Mohan and his wife Geeta.

On Sunday morning, Chandrahas left for his flower stall as usual. Padmini was in the habit of getting up late every morning, hence, the family did not suspect anything amiss when she did not come out of her room on the morning of the incident.

Later, when Geeta went to fetch water at the well, she saw that the rope was let loose into it. To her utter shock, she found Padmini and her daughter Shivani inside the well, and raised an alarm. The workers in a nearby construction site rushed to her help and brought out both Padmini and Shivani. However, Padmini had already breathed her last and Shivani, who was clutching on to the rope, survived.

Padmini's alleged her in-laws of torturing her. The neighbours informed that Chandrahas and his family were isolated and living without any contact with the locals.

Mulky police registered a case in this regard.

Do not worry about tomorrow.Take life easy.there are so many people who are living even today in their worst conditions without losing hope in God.Remember God will never let you always in ur difficult situation. You will be able to come out of that problem which you are facing today. So dont get panic to take suicide as your ultimate step.face your problems boldly.Nothing worst can happen to you.Have faith in God and just go on in life!!!!!!

Dear Angel Shivani, God saved your precious life but he could not save your mother Padmini as he had his own plans. RIP peace Padmini and give comfort to the bereaved family and friends. The police should find out the cause and punish the culprit and give proper and fair justice to the daughter.

Very sad heartbreaking news .A mother is a mother .It is very difficult for the Child to live without mother .The story also depicts the difficulty of living in Mumbai due to high living costs .Many Kannadigas havebeen leaving Mumbai selling their Flats and some others are leaving as they cannot find a house in their budget .I think people need to adopt Diogenes philosophy of living with poverty

Whoever want's to 'die' - let them die. No matter whatever it may be. One thing wants to note should complete circle in another life which you left in the middle. For small small reasons should not take drastic step. If something comes bad in mind - just sit and relax for sometime and think. Nothing is going to happen. There are many people's in the world - who are living in deteriorate situation in one or other way. Just not panic - face the world. Suicide is not only last solution for all. What god provided life cycle is to complete. May be in next life things may worst from present life. If everybody would have think on same manner - world would not have exist up to now. There are many people even after suffering from worst diseases - thinking of living tommorow with bravely. That's called spirit. Change yourself from today only.
