Only way is to make dividers compulsory and put cameras every ten kms. life more important than cost of cameras. also auto-limit speeds of buses and lorries to 60kmph. No U turns ( i was hit by auto and many others). safer to make overhead U-turns/ bridges and overhead bridges-every five kms for people to walk.

Every body has some one to blame. what is the need of the hour is Road Etiquette. Right from the start(Obtaining a Driving License) corruption is rampant. If an international standards testing is brought into force i am sure of more than 90% failure in the tests. What can one expect if a driving school instructor himself takes the student on the wrong path(Ambika motor driving school- maroon car - Kadri Reading Room side road- when pointed out to the instructor as i was walking a dont care attitude was displayed in the form of a gesture.
In the case of this accident no body seems to be aware that these Maruti Cars(Wagon R, Estilo,Ritz, Dzire have a major manufacturing flaw- Front right drivers side has a large blind spot where the windscreen ends and the door begins. If a accident investigation dept. is commissioned as in the aviation sector i think many of these cars will have to be recalled.

    Very sad news.

The driver always flees the accident site. The public should teach a lesson to these errant drivers. In the event of similar fatal accidents, the public should beat the driver red and blue as a punishment at the same site so the message goes to other drivers and they would think hundred times before accelerating the vehicle or violating the traffic rule.

Now what will happen to this driver, nothing. He would surrender at the police station and would be out on bail. After a week or two, he would join the duty and continue his rash driving.

The lost precious lives never come back.

All accidents including yesterday's one is because of negligence of drivers. These days city bus drivers drive very negligence without following traffic rules. Passengers sitting in the bus enjoy such a rash driving instead of warning drivers. If at all, a responsible citizen does so, people stare at him.
It is very sad to know about the demise. I pray that their soul rest in peace. May God give their family members the strength to bear the sorrow. Speedy recovery to injured ones.

Almost everyday we get to hear about road accidents and lives lost. Why isn't strict punishment given to the drivers who are at fault? Atleast others will learn to be extra careful. Their licences should be taken, hence will not be able to drive. I have even experienced most of bus no. 15's driving, first of all the steps are so high and then very impatient in their driving. How much we have to bear when we travel by such buses. Even when senior citizens climb, they have no mercy. Who can control these drivers?

Till the highway works are incomplete there is always a potential risk which everyone who uses the road must take care of,

Ashvith is my cousins son while Suguna is my aunt.

Yes the bus driver and conductor are at fault. What about the passengers in the bus who were mute spectators when the driver was going on the wrong lane !

It's time general public take things in their own hands. Drivers are neither scared of the law nor the public.

I on my part ensure that I reprimand drivers driving rash. And I have almost got beaten up a couple of times. But on every occasion , everyone else in the bus has actually abused me as they all were worried about their bus getting late because of my arguments with the driver.

My request to everyone - Please don't be selfish and ignore rash drivers. This time it's not you , but it could be you or your family members the next time.

About this bus driver , he will start driving some other bus in a couple of days.

Also there should be strict rule against service buses stopping suddenly in mid of road in highways. They neither give way nor signal nor move away from road when they stop. It seems that drivers never be penalised even though such incidents happen. Hence these kind of accidents are becoming common

If strict actions are not taken against these we will still face the same in the future. The govt should cancel all the permits of private bus operators or should immediately install speed governors on these vehicles or these evils will still continue killing lifes.

I'm fed up of listening to the news title "Accident between bus and the car". Each and everyday we have this headline on the news. Why does this happen ?
Authorities have to take strict action against the bus drivers who disobey the rules. Some bus drivers consider that they have themselves built the roads and they travel in a super fast speed. They take roads to be their private property as if no one drives on them. These drivers should be levied with highest fines possible.

It is high time that buses and other heavy vehicles are fitted with speed governor systems and also we people should learn not to overtake and follow traffic rules especially in such areas where road construction and highway works are being conducted. This is the second accident within a span of few days at Jeppinamogaru area where city buses were involved in both the accidents.
