Mangalore: Karunalaya Human Life Centre of Bethany Sisters Inaugurated

Mangalore, Jul 8: The Bishop of Simla Chandigarh blessed and Sr Wilberta, the superior general of Bethany Sisters inaugurated Karunalaya - A Human Life Centre here recently.

The Centre is a memorial of the 50th death anniversary of Msgr Raymond Mascarenhas, the founder of Bethany Sisters.

Speaking on the occasion, the Bishop highlighted the need for developing a civilization of love. Sr Wilberta, the superior general elaborated the vision of the founder and how he lived for the poor and the marginalized.

The centre will promote life-giving activities in every field. Sr Arpan and Sr Sujatha will be the pioneering members of this project. Sr Maria Leena, the provincial superior in collaboration with her team and the Sr Herold, the province procurator worked on the realization of this dream project.
