Mangalore, Jul 8: Kesarugadde Kreedotsav Samiti, Pavanje, organized traditional Tulunadu games for the general public on Sunday July 8.

Over 200 people enthusiastically participated in tug-of-war, folk dance, reverse running, football, and games in a mud field at the day-long traditional Tulunadu games held for various age groups including senior citizens. The torrential rains did not deter the spirits of participants.

Samiti honorary president Nalin Kumar Kateel, executive president city lawyer P P Hegde, Tulu Sahitya Academy president Umanath Kotian, ZP president Shailaja Bhat, ZP member Eshwar Kateel, Tulunadu folk art scholar Ganesh Amin Sankamar, and fisheries marketing Federation president Yashpal Suvarna were present on the occasion.

Someone one saying "We re in 21st century but unfortunetly still wasting time in mud field" needs to know the culture of the mother land & respect it. People do not have any rights to criticize once belief & tradition while they do follow centuries old activities in life blindly denying the facts. India is know for its diversified culture & whole world envys it.We Indians are proud of our culture which has taught us true values & has guided us in the path of success.
We have enough talents in our country, but in vain due to dirty politics. All these talents been hired by other countries for their development.

    Dear Mr.Ismail Shaikh, Moodbidri/Dubai...

I think u have not born in village & also u have not seen these fun games LIVE in your eyes & ur first time in ur life ur seeing these photos. U have not tasted mud in ur tongue in ur childhood days. So ur telling wasting time. Being ur Indian citizen why ur have not TRIED to compete with China/Japan/Korea. I think ur totally unfit to compete with these brave villagers also.

    @ Ismail Shaikh, Moodbidri/Dubai.

FYI. THIS IS JUST REFRESHING GAMES AND REAL TULU CULTURE. THIS IS REQUIRED FOR FUN AND SAVE OUR TULU CULTURE.

I AGREE WITH YOUR ONE POINT INDIA IS BACK. THIS IS BECAUSE OF OUR CORRUPT UPA TEAM. THEY STILL BUSY IN CORRUPTION AND LOOTING. THEY DIDN'T LIKE PROGRESS,DEVELOPMENT.

NOTHING TO WORRY AFTER 2014 ELECTION, BJP WILL LEAD IN CENTRAL ALSO. SOON IT WILL BEAT JAPAN,CHINA,KOREA,UAE ETC. JAI HO BJP.

have you experienced the real thrill and charm in these type of village games, we love it and always looking forward for next year. You must be born in a royal SHIEk family and have no idea of our joy in this.you grow up mister Sheik,You cant eat money and Gold. You can only eat what we produce in our fields and farms by our hard work.People of your kind and mindset can only bring doom to our farmers and our village games.

We re in 21st century but unfortunetly still wasting time in mud field. We need to go forth to compete with China/Japan/Korea and definetly not with Pak and Bangaladesh. Common wake up guys!
