BJP 'Surrendered' to Dictates of Yeddyurappa : Moily

From Our Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network

Bangalore, July 8: In the first hard-hitting reaction from the Congress party for ousting coastal Dakshina Kannada’s second Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and replacing him with Jagadish Shettar, a nominee of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa presently facing CBI probe on corruption charges and other irregularities besides the ignominy of spending three weeks in jail, Union Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerappa Moily said the BJP has meekly ``surrendered” to the dictates of Yeddyurappa.

``What are the reasons for the removal of Sadananda Gowda and replacing him with Shettar?,” asked the first chief minister from the coastal region who hails from Karkal while Gowda is from the neighbouring Sullia taluk in Dakshina Kannada district.

Pointing out that he was totally opposed to the BJP ideology, especially its policy of encouraging communal hatred and the Hindutva ideology, Moily felt Sadananda Gowda had sincerely worked for providing a clean administration and cleansing the government from the taint of corruption, which had ruined Karnataka’s image all over the country.

``Here is a chief minister from a party which bragged from roof-tops claiming to be a party with a difference and was unceremoniously removed merely because a man, who had undergone three weeks in jail on court orders and is going through CBI investigation after being ordered by the highest court in the land, Supreme Court, demands his removal. Is this BJP’s commitment to check corruption?,” he asked.

The BJP has been encouraging corruption and dividing the people on caste and communal lines as is evident from Gowda’s removal and replacement with Shettar, he said.

The Congress leader said the BJP high command has succumbed to the terms and conditions of the Lingayat strongman and former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and decided to continue corrupt administration by appointing Shettar as the successor to Gowda.

``The BJP has been never serious about ending graft from the State or the country; it relishes double speak and practice hypocrisy,” he said wondering how the party which came to power with the promise to provide a stable and strong government can justify having three chief ministers in four years.

Moily sought to know the reasons for the removal of Gowda from the Chief Minister’s post when he made an attempt to cleanse the administration.

``What is the benefit for the people? What is the benefit for the State?” he asked and made it clear that he was completely opposed to appointing the Chief Minister on caste lines.

By dislodging Gowda, the BJP high command encouraged corruption, nepotism and mal-administration in the State.

``The BJP bowed to the pressure tactics of Yeddyurappa and removed Gowda even though there were no allegations against him,” Moily said wondering how long would Yeddyurappa tolerate Shettar especially in view of the fact that he had personally ensured that Gowda was made the Chief Minister following his resignation opposing Shettar’s candidature.

Noting that the BJP has been paying price for poaching of MLAs from other political parties for its survival through its controversial ``Operation Kamala,” Moily said adding, ``No attempt has been made to provide people friendly administration during the last four years of the BJP rule.”

DVS is really a fool, Sure he is not capable for todays politics. If he was clever, In these days he would have had at least two three visits to Deve Gowda, Siddaramaia, SM Krishna... Not for any reason....only casual Visits, and should have given some doubtful comments/statements to media. That would have given some sleepless nights to Gadkhari...and for sure this situation would have not arised. Hence DVS dosent suit for todays politics, far away from CM post...I think From BJP's Point its a good move.....

      HI PSUEDOS,

FYI, BJP WON 9 OUT OF 12 MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN UP.

YOUR ITALAIN LED CONGRESS ACHIEVED A " BIG ZERO" .

IN AMETHI & RAEBAREILLY BJP ROUTED ITALIAN LED CONGRESS.

BOTH THE ABOVE CONSTITUENCIES ARE HELD BY ITALIAN & YUAVARAJA.

BJP was quick to term its victory as a verdict against the UPA government's policies. "People of UP have given a clear verdict against policies of Congress and its allies in the local body elections. They are fed up with the corruption, lawlessness and price rise," BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said. "Congress, SP and BSP have been wiped out in the elections and BJP has won maximum seats in the civic elections," he said.

Mr. Veerappa Moily...first think what was the reason for BJP rule in Karnataka....and then worry about Mr. Sadananda Gowda's short term...!!! If your Congress rule was good, then this change was not necessary. Now people of Karnataka have know what is BJP and may be a wise decision to think about future elections to take over and to give good governance for ever. Hope by that time "Anna's Bill" will be passed and corruption may reduce in India.

The difference between Mr. Saddhu & Mr. Shetter/shut-tare is:
Mr. Saddu was elected by all the M.L.A's.
(All the M.L.A's have elected on an electoral ballot that is a democratic process)
Mr. Shetter was ed forcefully through terrorism within the BJP cadres.
Mr. Shetter and team terrorized BJP High Command with the synonymous sir name of Gowda to Deve Gowda an allegation fruitless, pointless.
The mistake of Mr. Saddhu was his training in RSS camp which he should not have done.
      This was his biggest error.
Hence BJP cadres roused in terror
High Command to Low command with a thunder.
However this was a biggest blunder.

BJP not only surrendered to BSY and team but also not in a position to rectify the mistake it did projecting individual based politics in Karnataka which further haunt BJP Central Committee.

Unceremonious removal of DVS and installation of BSY's man in the helm of Karnataka affairs proves once again that BSY has no High Command other than himself!!!

Karnataka was stunned to see DVS relinquishing coveted post of CM chair for toeing party line and principle ?.How BJP convinces to the public of Karnataka in particular and Indians in general is a million dollar question?

A national Party,BJP,reduced to irrelevant in the hands of BSY!!Modi of Guj, able to remove Sanjay Joshi and BSY triumphant in dethroning DVS, shows that BJP not remained as National party instead it has franchise in different states having their own constitution and set up.Mangaloreans always remember DVS and M.Veerappa Moily who adored top posts of Karnataka and both were prematurely relinquished their post for unknown reasons.
