Mangalore, Jul 9: A local miscreant bashed and looted an excursion of 14 students from SDM College here in Madikeri on July 8.
They belonged to the final year BBM batch at the college and had left Coorg on Saturday night in two cars.
On Sunday, they had left to Mandalpatti, a hill station where, a local miscreant Mahesh along with four other people attacked the students. They then nabbed a gold chain weighing 3.5 sovereign which belonged to one of the student, Kaushal (20). Meanwhile, four more miscreants joined the group and wacked the students.
Sources say that, two victims,Kaushal and Pranil, were injured badly in the attack. They have been admitted to Attavar KMC and Wenlock hospital for treatment.
The students have registered a case in this regard at the Pandeshwar Police Station.
