Sri Rama Sene Protests Casting of Veena Malik in Kannada Film

Bangalore, Jul 10 (PTI): Activists of right wing outfit Sri Rama Sene on Monday staged a protest against casting of controversial Pakistani actress Veena Malik in the Kannada version of 'The Dirty Picture' movie and demanded her replacement with another Indian actress.

The protesters, led by Sri Ram Sene President Pramod Muthalik, shouted slogans and sought to know why the makers of 'The Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Hot Maga' had cast her when there are many talented Indian actress who can fit into the role.

The Hindi version of the film, which was an unofficial biopic of southern sex symbol Silk Smitha, starred Vidya Balan in the lead role.

Last year, All India Muslim Tyohar Committee in Bhopal had issued a fatwa against Veena and ex-communicated her for "objectionable" photos on the net and for degrading the sacred institution of 'nikah' by signing a contract to choose a groom on a reality show.

Point of Ramsena is why we get outsiders when we have a talents in India. In fact he is right. If the same happens in Pakistan, Pakistanis will bomb India and then talk. Sometime Ramasene is on right path to teach a lesson to PAKIS. All Indian say Jai Hind including all people.

Mutalik cannot generalise that all Pakistani's are bad. All the country there are good and bad people. He and his team never had any opertunity to deal or talk to any Pakistani. Just political game. Blaming whole community and country for sake of political gain. let our youth find better jobs and earning, not to follow useless politicians.

To the people who are supporting a pakistani actress.......talent must be appreciated but not wrong talents. She has already destroyed a family in india so openely(though the man is more at fault for cheating his wife)within a year leading to divorce, wonder what next in her sleeves....The one who suffers knows. Its sad to see that many support this pakistani actress in this forum.Tells alot about people. Will have many 'disagrees',but ask yourselves living in the country you are if its really right to have this women acting here when there are so many waiting for years for an opportunity!!!But yes, this is a low standard movie not a movie of social cause........

At the outset, I am not a supporter of Rama Sene or any political party or films for that matter. Whoever objects to something like this is very right. Why do we need to promote an outcaste Pakistani star in our Indian films, why do we require any discarded foreign female models, side actors, porn stars to act in our mainstream cinema, We worship half bred foreigners like Katrina Troquette , Karen Kaur, & many more who have simply changed their names and surnames to appease the naïve Indian audience, When we have talent at home why do we need them? There is even an academy in London that caters to bollywood acting and dances. Very soon you may seen Bollywood being bombarded by these foreign maals, History is evidence that we have always been slaves of foreigners.
Public like us are being fooled day in day out, with only star kids, nephew’s , nieces joining the film industry and survive with no talent , paid publicity and hype,we have to put up with their ‘acting’. God help us!

I am sure, in the future. man made bounderies of land will collapse, and it will be just one world, one people, the internet way.

I personnally congratulate Veena Malik for her courage to be different than the rest, and trying to be a part of India, against the back of several odds specially communal.

I dont think she has harmed India in any way, but enhanced the image of India, globally as being a modern country. I wish her every success and good stay and career development in India.

If Rama Senae's protests are accepted, the thousands of Indians who are holding good career posts outside India, should also be replaced by their own locals

Besides she is not doning some Sathi Savitri role here. I support SRS protest against casting Veena Malik in the Kannada movie. I think not only SRS, but all organisations in India should ban Veena Malik from participating in films or other shows in India.

She is not only not good for our society and being Muslim, she has no respect for her own religion. People like Venna Malik set bad example for our society.

It is really hard to understand why our organisations give her such an importance?

Go ahead Sri Rama Sene, people will support you in this cause.
