Mangalore: Manu Bahrain Honoured with Victor Rodrigues Memorial Award

Mangalore, Jul 16: Samanvaya observed the second death anniversary of Konkani litterateur Victor Rodrigues at Samanvaya hall at Urva Store here on July 15.

On the occasion Manu Bahrain (Stany Lobo), senior litterateur was honoured with 'Victor Rodrigues Memorial Award'.

Fr Pius Fidelis Pinto, managing trustee of Samanvaya presided over the function. Dr Edward Nazareth, orthopaedic surgeon at Father Muller hospital and eminent writer was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nazareth gave a brief description of the literary works of Victor Rodrigues.

Celine Rodrigues, wife of late Victor Rodrigues was present on the occasion.

Fr Ronald Cutinho, director of Samanvaya welcomed the gathering and Dolphy Cascia introduced the guests.

Richard Moras, convenor, Konkani Kutam, Bahrain, Herolpius, Judith Mascarenhas, J F D’Souza, Attavar, CGS Taccode, Gladys Rego, Ron Roche among others were present.
