Puttur, Jul 16: Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda was accorded a grand welcome here on Monday July 16, on his first visit to his native town after being removed from the CM post.

Gowda was received at Gundya and taken in a procession through Uppinangady and Nelyadi to Puttur town.

At Puttur, a thanksgiving and felicitation programme was organized by his well-wishers and partyworkers. A large number of people from in and around Puttur gathered to witness the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Gowda thanked his supporters and the people in general for their good wishes.

On being removed from the CM's position and the controversy surrounding the incident, he brushed aside the matter and said that he was ready to accept any post in the BJP.

"I will abide by the BJP high command's decision. Whatever post I am given, I will do my best to live up to the people's expectations and trust, and work for their welfare." he said.

He then visited Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple and sought divine blessings.

He was accompanied by his wife, family members, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, legislative assembly deptuy speaker Yogish Bhat, Padmanabha Kottari and a large number of BJP party workers.

On Wednesday July 18, Gowda will visit Mangalore.

He is a true leader and has shown that he was not power hungry, like the wolves within the BJP party today in Karnataka. By not falling prey into caste politics and by not furthering the same, he has earned himself the reputation of being a leader with true democratic principles. Hats off to DVS

We appreciate Sadananda Gowda for giving 11 months administartion as CM with a bunch of tainted corroupt minsiters of BJP government. We feel sad that a CM of D.K. thrown out from CM post from the strong hold of lingayath community. It is very sad to quote that our MLA's from D.K. and Udupi are spineless none supported to retain dignity of undivided D.K. This also applicable for MLA's of congress party when Moily become CM none except Ramanath Rai supported him within congress party. Our leaders are like that they (BJP) legislators of DK works under the langoti of RSS bigwigs like Prabhakar Bhat and late V.S. Acharya. They need dumb leaders from DK to represent them. Now though Nalin kumar has no capacity to be state president still his name rounds for the post because he is one of the big chela of this upper cast mentality ( Brahmins ) RSS leaders. They need the support of bunts and billava in DK to survive themself thats why they support Nalin, Srinivas pooary like leaders to get their cards played. They play hindu card and use all backward cast vote bank to manage their affairs. Mr. Gowda administratively failure as CM who could not handle ministers properly and command remote was with BSY he changed the channel so he lost. He was suppose to be KMF chairman after his tenure as BJP President but BSY denied it given to Reddy that time Gowda was much upset. We should thank Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde whose report made Gowda as CM.I have high regards to Mr. Sadananda Gowda on personel side he seems to be gentlemen. It looks that the injustice meeted to Shakunthala shetty might have been cross fired him. As BJP state president he could not take disciplinary actions against any individuals except Shakunthala shetty even after those MLA's criticized the government and CM in the past. I wish to see Sadananda Gowda to be powerful leader in BJP with strong, governanace, administration skills and un baised impartial person. RSS upper cast mentality to be controlled in BJP.

Guys, try to raise above caste and politics.
It is a well known fact that 70 MM smiling Sadananda Gowda intentionally did not get a new Lokayukta of Karnataka during his tenure nor did an iota of development work in South Kanara!

It is rather odd and ironic that Gowda is travelling in the same narrow potholed road from Uppinangady to Puttur town!

The Karnataka HC has now slamed the govt for not appointing Lokayukta and given a strict warning! The next hearing of the PIL case is on July 23.

IN POLITICS THE RIGHT PEOPLE DEMAND THE POST SO THAT THEY CAN WORK FROM THAT POST. ONLY USELESS PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT SIT AND WAIT FOR LOW COMMAND DECISIONS. WHILE THE LOW COMMAND ONLY PLOTS PLANS FOR ANOTHER EPISODE OF "BJP PRESENTS.. COMEDY CIRCUS 2012". BJPees CANNOT LEARN FROM CONGIS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO BRAINS. THEY ARE ONLY TALENTED IN LEARING ACTING (BJP NATAKA COMPANY PVT LTD).
ONE THING I AGREE PARTIALLY WITH OUR ESTEEMED BJP SPOKSMAN RAKESH SHETTY IS THAT "BJP WILL MAKE A CLEAN SWEEP..." YES! BUT THEY WILL SWEEP THE FLOOR WHEN CONGRESS COMES TO POWER. AT PRESENT THEY ARE SWEEPING THE COMMON INDIANS TAX MONEY TO THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS. SO YOU SEE BJP SPOKESMAN IS RIGHT SOMETIMES. CONGIS SHOULD INDEED LEARN ABOUT BJP SWEEPING SOCIETY. JAI HO BRAST JAGALA PARTY.

Why do I get the feeling that DVS is such a loser that perhaps he did not deserve the CM chair in the first place.

Also Rakesh if some are to take a lesson from DVS about being ready for any post and working per High Command Decision, what lesson can anyone take from the likes of Yeddy and Shettar and all the other Jokers in the Bharatiya Jokers Party?

Mr.Sadananda Gowda was working himself as party worker but not controlling the ministry. He has to work to control the govt. Not working himself and giving all powers as independently to ministers. He kept on achieving clean policy without governing ministers otherwise he would have not been ed from CM post. Now I think he lost everything... Politics is like that. If you join politics work aggressively by doing good job to the public. Success depends on sacrifies and hardwork.

It is nice to see the ever smiling DVS. Whether he is in power or without power, people are with him. Let the party go haywire, DVS has set an example for the current bunch of ministers about how to give a good governance. Now it is upto Shettar and gang to follow the path and be grateful to DVS for leading them for 11 months.

Because of BJP's latest unexpected developments although it hurts, I am just hoping against hope that the new ministry will live up to people's expectations, and somehow complete the remaining tenure without much internal cyclones.

Ms. Roshini Shetty, Please get your facts right before commenting on anything. Halady Srinivas shetty is not resigning for not giving cabinet berth. But he is resigning BECAUSE HE WAS HUMILIATED BY BJP LEADERS BY ASKING HIM TO COME TO TAKE OATH AND THEN NOT GIVING IT IN THE LAST MINUTE. MR SRINIVAS SHETTY HAS NEVER ASKED FOR MINISTER POST. FOR HIM HIS SELF ESTEEM AND MARYADA IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING. AND HIS FEELINGS WAS HURT BY THIS WHOLE CASTE BASED POLITICS.

Winning, losing, quitting and removing are part and parceL of modern day POLITICS. If any minister completes his 5 yrs term it is like winning a long fought battle. Showing too much loyalty to High Command will cost him much and by that time the BSY gang will capture everything by force and by money power looted from the common people of Karnataka.

Actually BSY is real hero for coming back to power despite of so many corruption and going to jail. Always 70 MLA's supported him even though he was not in power. No MLA support for DVS. DVS is not aggressive and strong leader like BSY. What is the point of non corrupt if no MLA's are with DVS. He can't lead or take group of MLA'a support to rule the Govt. DVS lost the game. He didn't become leader of coastal Karnataka. He didn't support or put pressure to high command for honest MLA's of Karnataka to make them ministers in Shettar givt. Why do you think undivided DK district will give DVS back to our districts if he can't give priorities to us just to maintain his clean image. I stopped liking him due to recent issues of Haladi, Angara and Yogish Bhat. None of them got in to govt. Our district in charge minister too is a tainted MLA(C.T. Ravi) from another district, which is really an injustice done to stronghold of BJP districts of Udupi and Mangalore. Mostly all of the unhappy MLA's and party workers will join Sri Ramulau or JDS. Next time, BJP will loose all the seats in coastal Karnataka. We should make them to loose next election for sure.

Till BSY goes to jail,DVS could not get President chair of Karnataka BJP Unit for sure.If BSY wills then OK for DVS.

BSY is a Institution not an individual.Earlier,he made Shettar opn leader, when BJP came to power,Shettar was denied ministerial berth and made just speaker!Again, shettar aligned with the powerful Reddy gang to become (CHIEF)Minister but only satified with portfolio of P.Raaj and R.Development.Finally Shettar gave opposing BSY and surrendered to BSY, he was made CM by removing DVS unceremoniously!
Now,the question is whether DVS forgets past misunderstanding with BSY then he is ready to offer Party Chief in Karnataka.
In politics, sincerity, corrupt free or straight forward not works either one have lobby or godfather or ability to pull crowed!!If these two qualities are not there it is difficult to make it to top post....AK Subbaih,B B shivappa RAM BHAT....these people who built BJP where were now?????
